  1. If it is I'm not getting paid for it haha. Will rb30 forged pistons fit a 25 block the are 40 thou over but the block needs machining anyway née pistons and rings could be a good thing

  11. Everything is sorted got a engine lined up and will able to use everything that was on my 20 including injectors not a bad recovery I think. If anyone one wants some 20 bits pm me

  13. Iv got a nistune I would just run a sep solenoid to controll vct and I'll run the 20 box till it goes bang
  14. It's never over heated while I have owned maybe previous owner cooked it all in all its going to require money. I would rather make 270 kw easy rather then stress the motor to get it

  17. Just ear muffs with hose we used work great can hear everything. I'm looking at going that way money is what's holding me back. Just got the head off. Bottom end is stock but head is warped needs a quick skim. Might be worth just getting a 25 as a decent gasket is 450 then need to have the head machined then new head bolts. So that's near 1000 I'm guessing. I can buy a 25 for that and use all my 20 stuff seems to be the smarter option. Not to keen on buying a new 20 tho it would be cheaper

  19. So 25 seems to be happening head bolts are striped where already a bit damaged and they are way over torque spec. Unless anyone knows how to remove a striped headbolt. The bolts under the cam coveres where 10mm Allen key then the 3 in the centre section are just under 12mm Allen key head so I'm thinking it's been tampered with once apon a time in jap land or is this normal on a 20 as iv never done one before?
  20. In just pulling the head off going to need a gasket one day and if it's more then a gasket a 25 will be on the cards
  21. This is the least of my worries just pulled the intake manifold off for suspected blown gasket only to find a half empty radiator and milky brown water next up is comp test and a punch in the face by myself soon. My day just got shit I think

  23. Yeah wanted to find the issue and that was it. When it was connected wasn't seeing any boost untill 5800 so I though something is seriously wrong was worried I broke something. Also forgot to mention I lost around 30kw by plumbing in the external gate. As we did a power run before touching anything is that normal?
  24. Ok so went on the dyno last night made 242kw with major wheel spin from 5 grand on so can't get a proper reading had a extra 100kg in the boot and still spinning. There is a restriction somewhere holding it back as well will be playing today im thinking wastegate pipe so is jez so more fab needed will be opening it up to 40mm id pipe and further down the exhaust. Setup is stock rb20 with td06h running 18 pound and your usual breathing mods seeing full boost (on the road) 1st 4800 2nd 4700 3rd 4500 4th 4300 there abouts anyway didn't bother with 5th that's with mbc removed running gate pressure 10 pound spring. Now going to get a ebc and hope it rids my lag issues with a contoller. Any suggestions on why a mbc would be causing lag and please no dick answers.
