  1. yes this is what i thought - just like the earlier model gtr's how about the engine rebuild? sounds like a tall story to me (i hope)
  2. hi guys, there are rumours going around the trap that the r35gtr requires a full rebuild @ 100,000km & apparently this is a 15k major service - could this be true? i have also heard from a workshop here in sydney that they are having a lot of gearbox issues with striping gears (1 particular in the US has changed his gearbox 5 times) - & apparently considering a recall but this would run nissan into the ground here is a clip of a 10.5 pass where this black gtr strips 1st gear OUCH (refer to 2nd clip): http://www.gtrblog.com/index.php/2009/01/0...f-the--1?blog=4 regards,

here is a comparison - my r32gtr has a pfc, gtss turbo's, cams, 700cc injectors etc & ran 325awkw @ crd. their greddy r35gtr ran consistent 290-295awkw STOCK! the 35 will be my next car

true, cars are expensive if ur chasing hp! u can spend 10k on a 05 model jap bike and it will pull low 10's - at the riders discretion...i stopped riding this yr due to the danger factor as a few of my friends have had life changing accidents so i think the extra money spent on a fast gtr is well worth it needless to say ive kept my leathers, tyrewarmers, stands etc just incase :-)
  5. i have a family friend who knows IMG group very well, 1 of their customers is selling a black r35 premium model and will take 140k. there seems to be a massive variance when u compare this to carsales website average price at 150-175k. i still cry about selling my dads torana ss, 5ltr 2door, 1st owner for 4k in 2001...i then saw the exact same model on carsales in 2008 for 98k and it did sell within a month

...then u have the massive advantage of power to weight, my previous bike was lightened to 166kg with mods which took it to 173.5rwhp! best et was only 10.2s which isnt much - being a bike the laws of physics wont keep that front wheel down. just think what a gtr will run with the same power weight ratio

car will always hold more corner speed than a bike due to its surface area of each tyre x 4. i raced bikes & have ridden for over 12yrs & yes they are great BUT an 11sec gtr for some reason feels more impressive than a 10sec bike - thats the truth!
  8. are u still building the rb30? im stuck between a rock and a hard place whether i stick with the 26 or not
  9. send the pics thru to [email protected] along with your asking price thanks
  10. bump
  11. free bump for an awesome powerplant
  12. i stand corrected - yes it was the -10's that were the badest!
  13. great post!
  14. im running GTSS turbo's - making 325awkw @ 21psi (apparently -7 equivalent) previously i had a GTRS setup & made 362awkw @ 21psi (apparently -5 equivalent) both were done by the same tuner - & yes the GTRS came on boost later than the GTSS which was a difference of approx. 2000rpm (& if felt like a lifetime for full boost on the GTRS) BUT the top end rush of the GTRS is awesome, so both turbo's have their pro's & con's! IMO - if u wanted a circuit or street car i'd go with the GTSS equivalent, if u wanted 1/4 mile or top end rush u'd go with the GTRS! either way, -5 or -7 u will be wrapped as anything over 300awkw is SHWEET!
  15. looks like a clean engine, do u know if the bottom end is stock?
  16. is your bottom end factory? then again if u have an r34 1 would assume this would be stronger than my previous 2 r32 gtr's...my 1st gtr had 365awkw & bottom end let go...my 2nd gtr has 325awkw & this also dropped compression (ring land apparently)
  17. ur lucky u were not going any quicker - that was a prime position to really hurt you...what gear were u in when it started to break traction and what kw u running?
  18. hi guys, i am sourcing a set of 19"x10" wheels for my r32gtr - i think for this size i will need a +22 offset for it to work on the r32. i live in sydney. thanks, marko 0404 884 876
  19. steve - let me know the next time u do the old pac run, im keen what turbine setup did the winfield gtr run? i remember reading it was tuned for 400awkw but this sounds very high, can anyone confirm? i love that 32!
  20. still for sale? did u get my pm?
  21. just dont worry about it rrre
