  1. what a great read this thread was - educating myself on these larger capacity rb's is very interesting & now makes more sense why the r35gtr has gone the route of increasing cc's! after reading this thread & talking to ben from racepace...he obviously knows his engines. i may have missed it but is this engine in a gtr with the rb26 head? john (JFKGTR) - did u get my pm

  8. 1st engine dropped compression in no. 6 (collapsed ring land) 2nd engine dropped compression in no. 2 (probably collapsed ring land, unknown as yet) being cylinder no. 2 chances are that maybe no. 2 injector could be partially blocked as it is unusual for this cylinder to go, usually its no. 5 or no. 6 that typically let go which run the hottest being at the back of the block
  9. gtrs - pfc, tomei type b pon cams, 700cc injectors, 362awkw (need to confirm boost level) gtss - pfc, tomei type a pon cams, 700cc injectors, 325awkw @ 21psi both tuned by crd
  10. i think i might be wrong as chances are if i ran 362awkw (gtrs) & 325awkw (gtss) that i was running a higher boost with the gtrs setup. i'll look at my old dyno sheets & post the results

  12. my 1st engine had gtrs turbo's and it let go after 4 months, running 362awkw. aust delivered gtr with genuine 100,000km (full log history). my current engine ran 325awkw & let go after 6 months but i expected this after my 1st experience. both botom ends were factory, untouched & had done close to 20years!
  13. probably nick @ dart, he built me other engine (& yours) and i was very happy with the workmanship! dart automotive treat my car like it is 1 of theirs!
  14. yes i thought it was good mph as well nick & a little surprised myself, to be 100% accurate i cracked 129.75mph (130mph would have been nice)
  15. stock bottom end & now requires a bottom end rebuild (factory gtr bottom end is not engineered to handle this power, it has happened to me twice now) in terms of rwkw i think you lose 10% in awkw mode, so maybe call it 350rwkw? paul (dirtgarage, aka gtr wikipedia lol) can confirm this if he happens to read my post

  17. hi guys, im running 325awkw with my gtss setup @ 21psi, has all the expected add-ons. i ran an 11.1 but with the right 60 foot time it is a 10.9 pass

  24. i didnt expect u to lose the car on that last corner - looks like a nice track with water views reminiscent of phillip island were u shifting @ 8000rpm? who said rb30's cannot rev you're not running a blow off valve right? the sound of turbo lag reminds me of my previous 3 cars & i love that sound! what fuel system & injectors are u running?
  25. yes it was the plasma bores that i also heard i agree with ur comment about the 15k rebuild...i guess its like an rb26 running 295awkw and hoping to get 100000km (this is what the r35 achieved on crd's dyno)
