  1. What else do you need to fit 264 cams? valve springs? but you don't need a solid lifter conversion do you? cheers darren
  2. Hard to tame....you could say that, with et streets rags, let down to 15psi on the high boost,(23psi) it does a top fuel style burnout in 1st 2nd and straight into top gear , hopefully gearing it up a bit helps alot. I thought the tyres were better than that cheers darren

  4. ha,ha, yeh i know, i haven't got time to cage it either, it made 378rkw and 640nm of torque in todays 42 degree heat 11.5 a.f ratio at peak power.,23psi, pump fuel. I actually drive it around with rag style Et streets on the road, pointless otherwise. see what happens, good to see we are now both pushing mikes electronic transmissions to the max! cheers darren

Are the boxes/trans computers the same as the series 3 R31's? i have a microtech and it is fine, but I am putting a manual valve body computer in it Friday anyway. offtopic:i get fullboost at 4200rpm with a GT42 .91 housing on a Rb30, 265rwkw on 16psi, 620nm of torque in third, giving it 23-24psi friday, has one of Mikes at MV's trans in it cheers darren

  8. Nisspeed do all of Boostworxs machining, they have everything in house aswell. Had a couple of motors machined by him. But also have a mate that is killer with Nissan motors and does his performance stuff at home, and is a engine reconditition by trade during the day, cluey as and very,very fussy, will be doing my Big RB30/25 build for sure, I will give you his number if you want to go that way, p.m me
  9. You would want the optional .91 housing with the GT42 and even then on 20psi it is way to big, on a 3 litre it would only be just starting to tick over. Which Gt42 is it the 94mm or the 102mm?

  11. Mv automatics 2800rpm converter for skyline trans Been in a stock R31 with a trans cooler. I had it for my new Rb30T with Gt3540, but have just pulled the motor out and have a Gt42 now so will need a much larger stall.   12. You woudn't be interested in swapping the comp cover and backing plate with the smaller .66 roller bearing cover would you, plus obviusly a reasonable cash difference, make the turbo cheaper again for anyone that wanted it. cheers angela
  13. The Vg housing is a .81, i searched 6 mnths for one, and eventually paid $50 The vl is a .64 from memory. cheers darren

  15. go put a T04e- V- trim front wheel in it, or you could fit a .60 To4 comp cover and fit a 58mm - H trim front wheel. Good for around 240rwkw. Bit laggy on a RB20, comes on strong 4-4500rpm with the bigger .81 VG30 exhaust housing so the one you have would be nice , go see BIll at ATS Darren
  16. ABO BOB: Mike told me Friday that the trans are the same. Yes the silvia converter will give the highest stall out of all the stock converters, up to 3500rpm. Expect to pay around $400 for one. If you need a higher stall you will, have to pay around $900. I have had 2 of these trans done now by Mike, expect a month wait at least at the moment as he is flatout, Anything more than a 2800 stall will make you car feel heaps laggy on the street due to slippage.

I have the MV kit in my R31 skyline, it is excellent the Trans came in series 3 R31's, r32,r33, silvia's and patrols,WRX's, Rigoli 8.9 wrx has a modified RE jatco which is just starting to fail now at there power levels. The silvia converter is the highest stall rating...around 3500rpm on a RB30 Mike does the converter and shift kit for around $900 fitted. We are currently putting one in a Gemini with a Vl turbo engine, Mike supplies a separate computer box to run the trans in other cars He has put one behind a 600kw BA turbo falcon This is the strongest Jatco out of all of them, and if in good condition can handle 10 sec passes with standard clutches etc, unlike the Vl style ones which he only rates to 280rwkw and mid 11's in a full weight car. And they are CHEAP, because no one knows!!, $100 secondhand My car is presently receiving a built RB30,3540 etc 20+psi of boost, so will see how it ultimately holds up in the next 6 mnths.   18. S3girl's husband: I had a look at it on friday, we were benchracing this plenum last saturday when it was getting fitted. It builds boost quicker with this plenum but noses over up top. Revs changed aswelll, before it made 270rwkw at around 6800rpm, it now makes 240rwkw up around 7500rpm. It also makes makes slighlty more power on the low boost setting , which from memory right up top bleeds of to the same boost as the high setting(integrale wastegate), but obviuosly loses a tonne of power in the midrange. Physics is a tricky thing :goddam: cheers darren

  21. I'm keeping it now, not worth selling for that price, and sold another cooler I had. Putting it on my R31 with Vl turbo motor and T04V-trim so will see how it goes. Freind made 270rwkw in his 32GTR with stocky.
