  4. I am already trying to escape the attachments I have here in Bris so don't need any "hooking up" of that sort. I'm sure you are a really nice bloke and all turdy, don't get me wrong Suuuuurely someone wants to go for a bit of a drive. I am keen for the old pac if anyone's interested. Out to Lithgow via the Bells line is a nice drive too. I guess I can always go on my own....... *walks out of room with dejected face on*

  6. lol....they are kinda at extremes...
  7. I am coming down to Sydney for a week starting this thursday and I'm bringing the 'line. Anything happening during the week? cruises or events of any kind? I will be bored after about the first 2 days I imagine, so need something car related to fill the void I will be staying in 2 locations, Kellyville and Randwick, and don't mind a drive, so......waht have you folk got on?
  8. Yeah, just use a stanley knife or something. It is sealed with sikaflex or something similar
  9. I had the same problem with my AFM. They get dry joints inside the sealed area where it connects to the PCB. I ripped mine apart and resoldered all the connections, whacked it back together and sealed it all with silicone and it didn't miss a beat for the next 1.5 years. Worth a shot
  10. Justjap are selling some of their own branded ones. Check the business traders section. I think they also sell Gates ones
  11. green sticker is series 1, pink sticker is series 2 R33. What are the symptoms that have indicated its death?
  12. that sounds a bit strange. He does work on all sorts of non RB26 stuff.....
  13. hehem...I beg to differ. I have a lowly R33GTST and took it to Chapmans to have a PFC tuned and they were happy to do so. If it was Andrew you spoke to, I'm not suprised you got the impression that he didn't want your business; A. I don't think he actually likes "people" all that much, so he comes across as pretty un-approachable B. He is absoultely flat-out ALL the time C. He gets so many wanabes in there with NFI that he would get a bit jaded I imagine so you have to kind of give him the benefit of the doubt. He is very thorough and doesn't take short cuts or do dodgy work (even if you ask ). He actually goes the extra mile for customers (He GAVE me a coil pack loom to fix an issue I was having and never asked for a cent. He spent an entire night driving to northern NSW to break-in a customers engine (that was an RB25 as well)) He charges his regular hourly labour rate for ECU tuning, not some rediculously over-inflated rate like most workshops, and the cars he tunes will have the flattest AFR's you will find anywhere. He doesn't believe in Dyno tuning (which puts a lot of people off (mainly because they want to come away from a workshop saying "I have xxxRWKW"), but how often do you drive your car on the dyno? I am 100% happy with the work they have done for me, and recommend them to anyone who asks, and I am not one to randomly endorse businesses. Did you actually have any work done there?
  14. Happy Birthday Gordo 30, Meh, men have the god given right to act immature their whole lives, so what does it matter
  15. $530 delivered from www.perfectrun.com.au - DIS-001
  16. OK, this isn't my cruise but I will be attending and I have been asked to try to bolster the Japcar numbers. Details (loose) are as follows: Meet Time (for the Jap cars ): 8:30 - Yatala BP, leaving at 9:00 We will then meet members of the XR6 turbo site at the Coomera BP at 9:15 and from there head to the Gold Coast (NOT BWCP). We will be stopping somewhere to grab a coffee or bite to eat (depending on numbers and preferences). Plans are a little sketchy from there, but we may go for a short drive somewhere and then cruise back to Brisbane. Look for a black 350Z, plates 13THL, he is organising the cruise. No Tools please
  17. I have a "bleeder" as well, the $22 one from these forums. It shows the actuator NO pressure until you reach your set boost level. Ie: the wastegate stays SHUT until you reach your desired boost level. It builds boost ASAP. How can an EBC do any better than that? Perhaps you should take your own advice and give a manual boost controller a try someday, And if you like it, you could spend that $500 you saved on something else
  18. If you are talking about the plug, they are available at any wrecker for about $10. VL Commos, and most skylines with an RB30 will have the same plug. Take a pair of side cutters.
  19. Piece of piss.....push the whole assembly forward (I think it's forward, if not try backward) and the back end should just lever out (there is a small clip holding one end in). Then unclip the electrical plug and do reverse to install new blinker assembly.
  20. If you have a full type M factory bodykit wth rear pods, you could sell it all separately and get $400 - $500. I would just keep the factory kit. At least it fits properly
  21. I had the first generation Hybrid EBC and that is exactly how mine was wired. ^^
  22. are you sure it's not coming from thhe diff? mine makes a funny noise at anything under 2000rpm. Replaced it with a shimmed secondhand diff and the noise has *almost* disappeared
