hehem...I beg to differ.
I have a lowly R33GTST and took it to Chapmans to have a PFC tuned and they were happy to do so. If it was Andrew you spoke to, I'm not suprised you got the impression that he didn't want your business;
A. I don't think he actually likes "people" all that much, so he comes across as pretty un-approachable
B. He is absoultely flat-out ALL the time
C. He gets so many wanabes in there with NFI that he would get a bit jaded I imagine
so you have to kind of give him the benefit of the doubt.
He is very thorough and doesn't take short cuts or do dodgy work (even if you ask ). He actually goes the extra mile for customers (He GAVE me a coil pack loom to fix an issue I was having and never asked for a cent. He spent an entire night driving to northern NSW to break-in a customers engine (that was an RB25 as well)) He charges his regular hourly labour rate for ECU tuning, not some rediculously over-inflated rate like most workshops, and the cars he tunes will have the flattest AFR's you will find anywhere. He doesn't believe in Dyno tuning (which puts a lot of people off (mainly because they want to come away from a workshop saying "I have xxxRWKW"), but how often do you drive your car on the dyno?
I am 100% happy with the work they have done for me, and recommend them to anyone who asks, and I am not one to randomly endorse businesses.
