V35 Uprev Tuning In Sydney

Lol! Anyone keen to demonstrate? I'll shout a coffee/beer .. I'm in Sydney - northshore!

I've been thinking of the transgo kit as well but haven't found a review anywhere that has convinced me. I read it is only good at higher revs .. and doing trackdays .. but no difference during normal driving. Again, how often you rev the car or do trackdays? Thoughts?

I was going from a cheap Chinese Tyre - Winrunn to ATR Achilles and they are good tyres for the money! Less VDC Slip on ATRs than the Winrunn.. so it's the tyres.. I'm running 275/30 r20 ... btw.. fill up with Nitrogen! Especially when you're running 30 series.. saves so much time trying to maintain proper pressure!

Thinking of replacing the current seats in the V to reclinable bucket. Any thoughts on good replacements? I'm after good value..

Your car looks great as well projectx. Which one is yours? Does your tail lights stay on btw?

Your car looks good spencer. What front bumper is that?

Apparently its "standard" on Canadian G35s .. as DRLs are mandatory there, but not much on the web about getting it or integrating it into our cars. Its all a personal taste whether you like it or not. If it stops others from bumping into me, I'm all for it! :-)

What do you guys think of Daytime Running Lights? Has anyone installed on their V? Is it easy? Is there a good brand to go for? Thoughts?

Sorry guys, thread too long... too much to read. Does this cover fit the V35 or does it require cutting?

Help! Need Key Coded In Sydney.
rs88 replied to Marshan's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Guys, I got my key duplicated by this guy - Michael 0414 466 228. Ring him. There are 2 parts to this process. 1 - the physical cutting of the key itself, and 2 - the programming of this key which he will also do. So far no issues! Its has been months! I think (sorry .. don't quote me .. its been a long time) $100ish?? The new key will not have the boot release button. -
Where did you get your rims repaired in Sydney btw? and how much? Thanks!

My bad! Typo. Its 245/30 Front and 275/30 rears, 20". The car had the 20" on it when i bought it. Wheel alignment was done when I changed tyres about 2 months ago and I'm running nitrogens in the tyres. Saves from topping up every single week! Deep Dish, good point about low profile tyres. I still have my original 17", might put it back on to test mechanical components. Thanks guys

Hey Guys/Gals, I know this "suspension / ride" has been discussed endlessly in this forum.. but I want to ask your opinion about my car.. 03 V35 .. standard suspension, running Achilles ATR Sport (2 months old tyres) 20" 245/30 Front and 275/40 rears. I was out on a country road (coarse chip?) doing 90km/h and the V was so skittish across the road. I don't know if its because of the low profile rubber.. and steering was constantly fighting/jumping and unable to maintain a steady course. My question is, I expect harsh ride from low profile tyres.. but is it the tyres? What can I do to get more control from the car? If it is the tyres, then I have to live with it. Thanks!

No they don't. Unless they missed mine!

Tyres you use(d) and how u would rate them
rs88 replied to ZigenGT's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
I didn't read all 56 pages.. but I thought I add my comments. Just changed all 4 corners to 245/30 R20 and 275/30 R20 Achilles ATR Sport. $215 for the 275 tyres and I'm pretty happy with the tyres. Mind you I haven't had the "dough" to throw into 20" F1 Goodyears, which I always put on my partner's Subby (17" btw..) but I've got my confidence back with my 03 V35. Had cheapie Chinese Crap on it before, slipped everywhere even going slow!! Again, not a good comparison between 17" & 20" but .. dry brake, cornering close to F1s. Wet braking not so good.. maybe 7/10? compared to F1s. I would buy the ATR Sport tyres again. -
Thanks Guys. Appreciate your quick response! So Non Brembo and Brembo makes no difference in regards to number of brake lines?
-
Hi Guys, I've searched and searched this topic endlessly on this forum and on the web but I can't find any straight answers. Can you guys advice on Braided Stainless Steel Brake lines for my 2003 V35? Questions I have are: 1) Is it 4 or 6 brake lines that I need? 2) Is the 350Z kit the same as the V35? 3) I assume the kit for the G35 is the same as the V35? 4) Does anyone know if I buy a reputable kit from Ebay/US e.g Goodridge/Stoptech/HEL would still be ADR approved? I know the HEL website specifies you need to select ADR Compliance when shopping. Btw, the HEL website does not have the specific kit for the V35. Closest is 350Z - hence question 2. 5) Would Brembo or Non Brembo brakes have any impact on the type/number of brake lines? I really appreciate any comments/advce/experiences on this! Thanks!!!!

Hi there, depends on where you are, and how far you are willing to travel. I service my car up at Jaxs, Thornleigh. I know the manager there, Michael and he's a trustworthy guy. He's been looking after my car for more than 2 years!

Thanks Greg. That's some food for thought. I will look into the Enery Suspension bushes.

Auto, 14.5L/100km, with 275/30 R20 Tyres.

Hi people, just want to get your experience or opinions. I've been told that the standard bushes in my front suspension has a crack in it. So .. I've been doing some research on replacing/upgrading the bushes and came across Super pro & Nismo. Other than the differences in materials (superpro is polyu & nismo - rubber), does anyone have an experience in comparing both in terms of feel or performance? Also, where's the best cheapest place to buy them? I know of Supercheap Auto - is that the cheapest? Time isn't a factor.. I'm only planning to replace them in a couple of months.
