  1. Would be grateful if someone could supply the underbonnet colour codes for a 1989 NJissan Skyline GTR R32 in Gunmetal Grey (the standard dark grey)? The local paint guys don't know what to match it to, and I'd prefer the right colour to the one they think it is (prior bad experiences!)
  2. Where's a decent place to get under bonnet grey matt paint for a BNR32 stadnard dark grey skyline? I dont want ot fix outside scratches - want to touch up the engine bay before refitting the turbines
  3. The ugly bluish one with the Rb26DETT, the small intercooler, and the wiring
  4. So who owns that skyline at Dave's?
  5. There are electronic versions around if you search through the various threads.....
  6. Be careful about who you buy it through too. Clearly "runs well" doesn't extend to f*d turbos. $4k later.....
  7. UAS sell an oil cooler with braided lines but WITHOUT the adapter to connect it (ie you get two braided lines and the cooler only) for $320. If you alreayd have a remote filter you could probably connect this up (assuming hoses were long enough) in place of one of the short hoses. Or buy a filter block adapter. If you kitted up the Meridian option to the same spec as UAS (ie include the thermostat), you'd probably find UAS was cheaper: UAS = $1150 Retail Meridian = $438+825 = $1263 (at group buy price), $533+$1025=$1558 (retail).
  8. I've included an add a Meridian thermostat option to the cost matrix (couple of posts down):
  9. Surely that can't possibly be an imported and on road price? Even the importers sell them for more than that. UNless they are poor examples. Got a URL? I know someone that would buy 20 at that price

  11. Got a bit more info for those interested in a remote filter setup without cooler. Awaiting on prices using blue tube and the 5+ buy price. UAS have a braided filter kit for a GTR for $380, and a Greddy unit for $280. Not sure 1m of hose is sufficient but would be close (Anyone got a GTR setup already and a tape measure??) Attached are better pics of the plates, Single O ring but it's bloody thick. Note no mounting bracket.
  12. I imagine that being an RB2x block that the parts would be the same only the hose lengths would be different (longer for GTR). Seems to be the only difference with the units UAS sell.
  13. Just had a response from them; thought I'd post it. For the $75 extra I'll go full kit with braid. Subject to pricing on inclusion of thermostat (I may go back to Canberra which is f* cold in winter) and price on remote only (highest priority) then I'm in. I closed the other thread. John
  14. Any chance of seeing some photos of the engine bay?
  15. These are the cheap chinese ones. $650 delivered in Aus in other threads... If you want cheap shite then spend $90 on the adapter plates from Earls http://www.earls.com.au and then connect it up with garden hose, bullwire, irrigation connectors, and araldite. I thought: - we're looking at quality products that will protect our engines (often worth more than the price of a new car). A split line or popped fitting can drain your engine in seconds. - there is limited space, high temps and sharp angles in GTR engine bays and IMPO rubber is not a reasonable option unless you cable tie it to everything in sight and use foam insulation around the bends. - a huge oil cooler without a reliable thermostat would eventually ruin your engine. And for an oil cooler of that size I'd want a drain plug on it. Or buy two of them and use the second one as an intercooler. Watcjh for duty and GTS if you're thinking about these units. :Bang:

Permacool use rubber hoses, not braid. I want braid - don't want it to rub through and f* up
  17. Guy confirmed shipping is accurate - told him to get nicked. Next? Anyone got any other prices?
  18. I can get it for $118USD. But check the shipping! Ground GRED 12003001 Greddy, Oil Filter Relocation Kits Universal 3/4 X 16UNF 1 122.51 122.51 Total Products 122.51 Shipping 100.00 Total 222.51 Have asked for confirmation.
  19. Reply with either expressions of interest, or facts and dollars. And you need a thermostat. Cold oil can damage your engine.
  20. On their website, $1150 including oil cooler. Filter relocation is $380 for earls and $280 for Greddy. So are you telling us something new?
  21. UAS have them for $280. $122USD plus say $25 for shipping = $150USD. THat's about $205, which is under the customs threshold. RRP is $160USD. Common online price is $144USD.
  22. I have a price on a Greddy Universal Oil Filter Relocation kit "suit most Nissans" (whatever t.f. that means) for $122USD. Awaiting freight cost.
  23. Since I can't find one (they sell out in about 5 minutes), I thought I'd see if there was any interest in a group buy. After doing some reading, the HKS Oil Coolers appear to cool better than the Trust ones, and the HKS oil coolers can have a remote kit fitted independently. Heard some bad stories about the quality of the lines and fittings they use in those chinese ones - not worth risking $10k of engine on a budget braided line that will shred rubber into your oil supply. Have approached a couple of suppliers - awaiting on pricing and volume discount Please post interest here, and if you have any mates that can source stuff cheaply please speak up. Happy to arrange everything. John
  24. For $22k you could get an 1989 R32 GTR. For around $12k you could get an 89 R32 GTST. Import yourself. Soon as you go above 1990 you're talking compliance so add $2k onto the price, and go through the hassles of trying to find a stock standard car as you can't get modified ones complied.
