  1. Could be the case. ONe is a three pin, the other with 4 pin (but only 3 pins used), but there's a $10 price difference between them. I thought perhaps Nissan might be clever and use two narrowbands to get a wideband reading....... So, has anyone fitted the Falcon EL universals to a GTR with GOOD Results?????
  2. Don't forget that you'[ll need to add import duty (possibly exempt?) and GST 10%. So the 992.37 becomes about 1100, plus freight. If there's 15% duty involved, it would hit $1250
  3. Consistent look and feel is very important. If you could integrate all the posts into ONE column, then have a "type" field which could contain say WTB, Auction, Fixed Price, it would have the best of both worlds. The hyperlink then sends the user to the post - which means you have all the parts in one list. The mouseover brief descriptions were great.
  4. The R32 GTR has two different O2 sensors - eac has a different part code and price with Nissan. Anyone know why? Since I have to replace both, I was wondering if anyone had used the EL Faclon universals? Since the GTR is known to have a lean #6 piston, I'm worried that using the EL Falcon option might lean it out and blow engine up........ which would be very baaaad.... Would aprpecaite people'sexperience/knowledge in this area.....
  5. Save some $$. Do a search in this forum and Skylines Downunder and you'll find a URL you can download it yourself - plus lots of other things :werd: .
  6. Am refitting reco turbos to my R32 GTR however the lower water drain hoses on the rear turbo got bent in removal. I thought I'd fixed them up however I discovered that the new location was right in the middle of the oil drain line to the sump - and I've arleady bolted the turbo up to the manifold and engine :cuss: So now I have no idea where it's supposed to run. Lower tube as a loop the loop. I've scoped the net and found nothing useful. Could someone please crawl under an R32 GTR and post a picture? John
  7. Nope. No button. However there is a small text hyperlink that now allows me to login to the classified. BTW the link did not do that before. d00d - love the site, I couldn't survive without it  (and was a tad frustrated last night after trying to fit these f*n turbos again and finding out my o2 sensors were stuffed), so my abruptness was not intentional (and apologise if offence). But many times do I need to be authenticated? From a useability perspective, why would anyone think they would need to login to the classifieds separately when they are already logged into SAU?
  8. There's nothing there. I'm looking at WtB No posts since last night, so I can't be the only one!
  9. At the risk of appearing like a loon, but I can find no way to actually POST AND ARTICLE in the new format
  10. Got all the parts, but the o2 sensors are stuffed. One looks like it had detonation (distorted badly) and the other the wires are bare out of the top and short on the casing. Anyone done the sensors on a GTR? Can you use the EL Falcon (like they do with the GTST?)
  11. Ask Scotsman. Personally I'm looking at two options for around a grand: - HKS full kits including cooler, thermostat relocator, mounting hardware - UAS kits including cooler, thermostat, relocator, mounting hardware, air baffles to direct air (BoostedZed =UAS is getting the production run costs finalised)
  12. The oil filter on a Skyline (GTR especially) is hard to get at, and makes a big mess when you change it (oil goes all over side of engine and suspension). A remote filter "moves" the filter to the strut tower, so you can put an ice cream bucket under the oil filter, and undo it easily and not make a mess. If you live in a cool climate then the oil going through an oil cooler permanently could result in the oil not reaching operating temperature (ie your oil would always be cold). This can have a nasty effect on bearings and turbos as the oil would be too thick. A thermostat oin the line opens the oil path to the cooler only when the oil termpature is high enough. Works exactly the same way as your car radiator thermostat; keeps you engine at the same temperature. Hope this helps.
  13. Criag at Nissan Unley got me one for $100. Screws and clips to put it on are about $1.50 each. Give Criag your part numbers using Nissan FAST and he's straight back at you with a quote at a bloody good price. Can't recommend him highly enough. Still scoping for nuts :-)
  14. LH Front guard fender protector. Apparently this is R32 GTR specific (according to the Nissan FAST Software. Other fender guards on R32 models are interchangeable). RBNT happy to check yours out when it arrives but I don't think it will fit. Anyone got one? Nuts and Bolts - Bunnings is F*ed. Anywhere else? Apart from Paying $8 each nut at nissan. Need some securing screws etc. Cleaning - Repco Workshop In Winnelie - sidesctreet next to Glenfords. Acid dipped them and they came up pretty well. Not perfect, but pretty close. He didn't want to bill me either - I gave him some nonetheless. First service and tune - Dave doesn't have a Consult (yet) althogh he's looking at one now. Apparently the local Nissan dealer has a few test Pilots ( so I heard) so if it goes there for setup I won't get leaving the car there.
  15. Hi fellas - need some pretty specific advice and parts I'm hoping someone has some bits lying around to suit, plus looking for advice. I need the LH Front guard fender protector. This piece of s* plastic protects the resonator box and the innder guard from stone chips. I have this funny feeling I'm not gonna get through rego without it. I have had a look to see if any other R32 series have the same one and it apepars they are all indeed different. I think RBNT lined me up with the front Right (just one of my stupid days) Need advice on where to go to get a decent selection of nuts and bolts. the bumper cover is missing just about all the bolts (all f* sizes including cable ties were used). I need all shapes and sizes - round flat bolts (pref black), short ones to connect the kip, those slide on clips to hold sheet metal screws to squeeze two things together, plus the screws. Suggestions? I also need to get new manifold nuts (block to mani, turbo to mani) as mine are destroyed in removal. Suggestions? I want to get the oily crap cleaned out of the manifolds and dump pipes. Chemical or very mild abrasive blasting by someone who knows what they are doing. Suggestions? I have a broken stud in one of the manifolds - supports the exhaust heat shield. Has anyone had GOOD expereince locally getting one removed. Suggestions? Finaly, I need to find someone to do the first service and tune when the new turbos are in and . This will mean full Consult diagnostic as the car has not been run for a while, two oil changes to clean it out, new filters, check all the sensors as one of the O2 sensors looks damaged inside (detonation?). Wheel alignment (Hicas), balance. Above all, I don't want to take it to a test jockey. Suggestions? After all this, I would of course be shouting beers at a venue to be agreed upon.... :spcartman Cheers, John
  16. Found it - site has all Skyline colours - it's G01 as in GEE-ZERO-ONE http://www.worldlingo.com/wl/translate?wl_...l&wl_g_table=-3 Translated from japanese: 1989 April Body color KG1 ブルーイッシュシルバー2M TG0 grayish light/write blue 2M KH2 charcoal grey pearl 2PM TH1 velvet blue 2P BJ0 grayish blue 2P The AH3 clan very lead pearl 2P KH6 white pearl 3P 326 crystal white 732 black pearls 2P Part color Remark G01 black In regard to G01 because of part private color Presently there is no combination
  17. Um, does this "black" have a Nissan colour code? If I ask the paint mix guy for black he's gonne wonder why i didn't go to Bunnings and buy a spray can.
  18. I'm with Shannons. Elders also gave me a pretty good quote. Ring them.

  20. 1. I'm not selling anything, I'm a buyer(!) I'm "whoring" by invitation as I started the original Group Buy thread and was invited here. 2. The BIG BOLD MESSAGE has all the costs and options , in TWO blocks - ignore the one that starts with UAS. I've kept it up to date. It's the only place you'll see ALL THE MERIDIAN OPTIONS (I sourced them) as well as the UAS OPTIONS. If you're not sure about something, ask me nicely and I might help you.
  21. Is the kit likely to drop oil pressure significantly?
  22. KH2 is the OUTSIDE EXTERNAL colour. What is the INTERNAL UNDERBONNET colour inside the engine bay. I've been told it's a different colour.
  23. If you were after a complete GTR cooler kit in braid including thermostat and remote filter, then UAS retail would be cheaper than the Meridian Group buy price by about $100. If you just want a remote filter arrangement (no cooler) UAS are cheaper retail if (Greddy at $280 or custom at $320/$380/$395 - depending on when you asked and GTR or GTST. If you're after a three hose remote filter and cooler setup with NO thermostat, Meridian seems to be the go (no such kit from UAS).
