EVENT: SAU NSW Texikhana LOCATION: Nirimba Airfield / TAFE / Skidpan - same place as last time (yeah, it's got a few names) Location map: https://goo.gl/maps/JZdPt Date:9th June 2014 (Yes it is on a Monday - Queens Birthday long weekend) What is it:Motorkhana courses marked with orange things that we'd kindly appreciate if you drove around rather than over Entry Cost SAUNSW members:$55 Entry fee Entry Cost NON SAUNSW members:$75 Entry fee (If you plan to enter more than 1 or more events with us it pays to be a funded member) Entries strictly capped at Max. 30 cars. This guarantees loads of runs and minimal wait time but if you don't sign up, well you snooze you lose. So get in quick to reserve your spot. Spectators:Free to watch Lunch:BBQ will be $3 snag sandwich and $1.50 cans (selection of flavours available) Passengers:$10 which is cheap compared to other clubs and events, (SUPPORTS OUR CLUB!!!) , MUST sign on, MUST wear wrist to neck/ankle clothing with enclosed shoes and approved helmet, same as drivers. All passengers must sign a passenger indemnity form on the day. Under 18 years must have parent or guardian permission. Courses: Released on the day at sign on First Timers:Don't be shy, you'll love it. Those of you that have been to one of these before will agree, this is the best money you can spend as far as driving time for an event. The event will be run after run until 4.30pm, and considering most runs are under 1 minute AND that we're kicking off at 9am, that's a lot of runs This is a safe event where you only go as hard as you want to, there's no pressure, one car on a course at a time. Perfect for beginners to have a first try at driving their pride and joy off the streets. With that said, there's usually some friendly competition between mates, which is great to watch Timing for the day: Scrutineering/sign on starts - 7.00am Scrutineering/sign on ends - 8.30am (don't show up at 8.25am, come with plenty of time to spare) Drivers brief - 8.40am (mandatory attendance all drivers) Runs start - 9.00am Lunch approx - 12.30pm depending on how the day is going (One hour) Runs stop - 4.45pm Gates close - 5.00pm Entrants please note: -Passengers must not be under the age of 15 years. All under 18 year old passengers must sign a passenger indemnity on the day and must have approval from their parent or guardian. If the parent or guardian is not present at the event, a letter giving permission to participate must be received -All entered cars must arrive in time for and pass scrutineering, no exceptions. -All drivers must be licensed (AASA or CAMS) and show valid licence and expiry date at sign on. -All cars must have an insurance approved fire extinguisher secured within drivers reach. -Sidepipes are not allowed. Screamers/external gates venting to atmosphere are also not allowed to be entered. No exceptions (this is not my choice, I ♥ gate) -Entries are open now, entries close as stated in Supplementary Regulations (at bottom of this post) to allow time for officials to organise paperwork. -Supp regs and Entry Form are soon to be attached. Entry forms without payment will be rejected. -Yes you can join SAUNSW on the day (allow an extra 5mins at sign on) -There is no EFTPOS/Credit Card machine on site, so bring cash and we will have change there for you. If you can bring close to the right amount, that's helpful. Regarding your motorsport licence: Due to changing policy at AASA we cannot process licence applications on the day. AASA or CAMS licences (or proof thereof) must be organised prior and brought to the event. AASA can provide a fax confirmation of your licence status if you require one at shorter notice (bare minimum 2 weeks). Also, CAMS licences can be renewed online if you have previously held an L2NS or L2S. So I'll put this up as a general reminder to people. We want this event to be a casual, family friendly day and as such we would appreciate it, if you all helped make that happen. SAUNSW does have a code of ethics, which can be found on the link provided. http://saunsw.com.au/code-of-ethics/ No Hooning onsite, outside or in the area. There are places you can go for that, like our upcoming Texikhana or Trackday No engine revving, skids or anti-social behaviour. Please pick-up your rubbish and place it in the bin. Please don't leave your goods unattended, they are the sellers responsibility. SAUNSW carries no responsibility for items sold, or information given. Any concern over the source of an item, please contact relevant authorities. SAUNSW suggests that a price be placed on items. -

Just a heads up for anyone coming up for the NULON Nationals Daylight saving ends in NSW on Sunday, 6 April 2014, when clocks go back one hour at 3:00 am.
-
I'm heading up on Sunday, leaving from Thornleigh McDonalds and will be stopping at the Truck stop/Hungry Jacks at Beresfield, should get to Beresfield between 7:30am to 8:00am, so if anyone wants to head up together, my plan is in the NULON thread
-
So I'm going to drive up to see this event, on Sunday and I know there are a few who are heading up as well. If people want to head up in a group, then you are welcome, this is my plan. I want to get there before 9:15am because that is when the roads are being closed and then you need to come in from the other end. So let me know if you want to head up together, so I know. My plan is to Meet at Thornleigh McDonalds 220 Pennant hills Rd at 6:00am , leave no later than 6:30am Head up Pennant hills rd to the Pacific Hwy and follow it all the way up to the truck stop at Beresfield and grab a cup of coffee there, then Follow Pacific hwy all the way up to Wootten way, Bulahdelah to watch the action. It is taking the M1 and A1 all the way. Map Link http://goo.gl/maps/p9WFh

I have to agree with Duncan and Pezhead. If anyone has a problem come to the AGM and bring it up, or PM an exec of the club and they can take it to the committee for you. Everybody is welcome to SAU Events, it doesn't matter what you drive, just as long as you have the right attitude. This event was set up as it was something that the members have been asking for, and the committee tries to accommodate all of its members needs, and takes member feedback seriously. -
