  1. Good to see Calder opening again. Friday night was great...not. They were drying the track with mops..wtf. no heated blowers, launch pad was not prepared, mid track was slippery. Back to heathcote I think until they organize themselves.
  2. Why do I bother. This forum is full of f&ckwits. To the OP. Do yourself a favour and give him a call.
  3. Go the lightest oil you can. If your engine is coping with temps then leave it. Don't go too thick because your turbos, head and oil pump might not like it. As long as you change the oil after the track and make sure it's not burnt you will be fine. The oil you are using shouldn't see problems though.
  4. Northern suburbs...Rajab Racing Developments. He is the RB master. And Alan is the nicest and fairest guy you will ever meet. Just take your car down there and have a chat to him you will see what I mean. 93577587
  5. Depends on the rust. Surface or deep corrosion. What's probably happened is he hasn't cleaned or treated the car after driving in salted roads and stored it for 3 year. This is a no no. I would look for something else. Or get it full checked by a reputable workshop.. I wouldn't buy it personally.
  6. What is the part number. Thanks
  7. Mate of mine had a similar button. couldn't work it out for ages. When we took off his front bar we found an old radar detector/scrambler black box. Traced back the wiring and it went to a module that the switch was wired to.
  8. correct they all have zinc now.
  9. This is true. But I wonder how the eflex cars are going at 10 000km service intervals after 150000 km. Especially if they are not driven regularly. Also to consider is whether having a typical looser built forged motor where contamination on a cold engine will be much greater than a tighter engine with stock internals is a major factor in oil choice and changing frequency.
  10. BTOG raves about Rotella. A lot of oil analysis done in their threads. Interesting to see what your feedback is if you keep using it. Keep us updated.
  11. Exactly. Many 350wkw+ twin setups on 98ron have port matched stock manifolds.
  12. Did a fair bit if research on BTOG. Seem diesel seems to coping with contaminants on their oil analysis. But again the consensus is the more you drive the car the less it contaminates. Same as what guys have been saying here. Diesel is generally cheaper too...$50-80 for 10 litres. HPR diesel is a very good oil. Spoke to a guy at autobarn a while back that used to work for them and do a lot of r&d, was in their for ages chatting about oil. He made some really interesting points about oil in general. One that really made sense was that if you change your oil every 3 to 5 thousand km then full synthetic is a waste of time and that they are really designed for extended oil changes. On all the testing they did with all the oils and brands, diesel oil stood out in most areas of the testing. Interesting. But again for oil changes longer than 5000km on high performance cars synthetic is where it is. on E85 oil has to be changed more frequent so the advantages of full synthetic is irrelevant and that's where diesel oils come into their own with the high zinc and cleaning properties. Anyway thought I would share.
  13. Agreed...mmmm small supercharger would be nice, 6psi without a cooler.
  14. Thanks mate. Finally. May the force be with you Kyle. Keep up the good work. Keep us updated on you creation.
  15. real funny fonzie
  16. Seems as though diesel oils are getting good results with their detergents.
  17. Just saying. Cheap option and works well if you take one coil out and make sure it lines up properly. Did it to a few of my cars, no issues. Sometimes needed to clamp the spring on the strut to stop it moving around.
  18. Mechanic? Cut the springs to sit it on it's rims. Done in an hour.
  19. hey not bad kyle. Drop it on its guts and get 19 inch rims and your done. keep up the good work
  20. Doctor won't know shit. He will just give you more antiflams and sleeping tablets. Generalizing if course. I had good results with cissus quandragularis. Got a couple of orthopods suggesting it to their patients with good results.
  21. Thanks mate. Looks really well made too. Again congrats on the build.
  22. Might be stupid question, but is the reason the exhaust goes back into one pipe and splits off again due to clearance? Oh and great build by the way, fantastic.
  23. Only way to do this is to tap into the Speedo or wheel speed sensors. Everything else would be too inaccurate and unreliable.
  24. Since when!! I know a few people that have done their bonnets, rims and badges. No issues like what your saying. And they are all over a year old. I think it's a bit of a myth.
  25. Why don't you try to design your own, make a stencil and use plasti-dip and spray it on. If you don't like it just peel it off.
