  1. Just be careful of vents near the windscreen because they can actually decrease cooling efficiency
  2. Yep underneath the intake plenum, but check the whole line to be sure, they are fairly old. Good luck.
  3. I agree with the 2nd post Scotty. A vac line...BOV not working correctly therefore air running back to your afms causing a rich mixture. You will probably be getting blow off and turbo shuffle sounds at the same time.. good luck
  4. Can you tell me more about the low mount manifolds... Some pics would be good. Thanks
  5. Wow...very jealous now... Congrats to both.
  6. Fair enough. Didn't consider the weight issue. Suppose I was thinking of the much lighter cars responding better to the mod. But yeah power to weight ratio wouldn't change much as you said. Thanks
  7. So was that on a stock head. Because I thought a smaller NA engines responds better to good header design.
  8. Thanks mate..the more solid feel makes sense especially with bracing at the extreme end of the car. Thanks
  9. Really interested in some more feedback mate...this stuff has always interested me. Can you describe the differences you are feeling...thanks in advance
  10. it was a joke in response to this: This may be the problem do you think?..and seeing it holds 22psi without the bc.
  11. As I said the easiest and quickest way to problem solve this is to get a manual bc, pre set boost with a compressor ,plug it in and see if your car boosts to that level. If it does send the ebc away to get fixed. Just make sure knock and boost cut management can protects things in case. 1 hour job.
  12. Not saying they are better just saying if the ebc isn't setup right then a manual one is simpler to setup...just for fault finding that's all. This process has work many times in the past. Or don't do it this way and fix it another way...doesn't worry me.
  13. Not the first time these bcs have caused issues. Buy a turbosmart manual bc and bypass the blitz one all together. This is a good starting point. Just make sure the actuators have been preloaded though..these two thing fix 90% of this type of issue.
  14. Wow beautiful wheels.... Lucky buyer who snaps these up. Good luck with the sale mate.
  15. If a mechanic told you that, run away as fast as you can. At least it will sound good when it blows up though.
  16. Can always try washers between the bonnet and hinges to lift it a bit and adjust the latch. May help, may not seeing that the clearance problem is at the front, May not look the best either but will be good for engine bay airflow..May help. Cheers
  17. I have no doubt that you are very knowledgeable at what you do, but your not the only one and you should show a bit more respect for other people's opinions especially when they are based on real life experience and who are attempting to guide someone. I and many of peers have been down this path many times and over the last 20 years and it comes down to this...drive it, like it, build it. If you don't agree with it fine....but don't be egotistical about it.
  18. Ohh the Calvary has come to play. You are all a bunch of keyboard hero's...if you want I can meet you all and show you my GTR...Will that make you all feel better...it's amazing that all this started because I wanted to help a guy out with my experience and the 26/30 hero that ran a 10s pass with stock turbos...WHY THE f**k would you want to do that anyway and the 2.8l hero that has driven his car for 5 mins because he sneezes and it breaks decide to say that I don't know what I am talking about....well I must be wrong then because my car which does 300-400km a week with a 26 and -5s has never had a hiccup..but hey what do I know..but the gods of the skyline forum with all their liitle followers that drive barinas and pull themselves over dyno sheets and compressor maps..wow their opinions are the only ones that count and let's back up our leaders because their the only ones with fast cars....bunch of f**kwits all of you...and the funny thing is most of you would say crap like this to someone's face but hey let's be all forum heroes, f**kin tossers.
  19. Show me where I said that and I will apologise fanboy
  20. If that's the best you got I would be killing myself....
  21. Go and sneeze at your car again so it breaks something else
  22. Got a new gearbox yet with all that massive torque...oh yeah you two are the gods of the 28 and 26/30s so everyone else's opinions are invalid....get over it you aren't the only ones with fast cars.....stop sucking yourselves off.... Stop trying to shoot people down because they want to help other guys out...f**kin egos on this forum is f**kin unbelievable...f**kin grow up
  23. Just f**k off..use common sense and you know what I meant..dyno graphs mean nothing compared to experiencing a car. End of story..if you pull yourself over a dyno graph and compressor map then you would suck your own dick getting out of a car that you love..that's the difference. Now this is the most relevant post in the whole thread
  24. Yep..that's what I have always done for the last 20 years and when they know your serious about it they will usually be more than happy to call a customer to take you for a drive. And if I got a called I would be more than happy to help out a my workshop owner and potential customer. But anyway not here to argue with anyone. If some wants to do a base all there decision on graphs and maps then all good but I think experiencing a setup is only way to know whether to a particular set up is good for you or not. And I said nothing about someone else taking your car for a thrash.... don't know where you got that from...geeez
