  1. Another I have come across. wow.Legends all round. Enjoy
  2. I want the intercooler and front pipe gone. Make a reasonable offer.
  3. Hey guys just wondering if you can help me out. I have an r 33 gtr full weight and getting an engine done which should be pushing 350+kws. Want to do so track days and throw the car around a bit at some events. I have standard brakes that are due for rotors and pads shortly. I have been researching for months and totally confused. I see that many have trialed a massive amount of different setups. So my question is what is the best front brakes I can fit in my 17 inch LMGT1s with a street track tyre like Achilles 123. Options would be a larger rotor with compact calipers or larger caliper with a smaller rotor. Are there much differences in performance with lets say a nascar 4 pot brembo and a 6 pot other brand caliper. What about the F50s are they still a great improvement over the standards with great rotor pad combo. I know that there is a great group buy on the d2s but they are quite bulky and am very restricted on their rotor size. So in short is there a compact caliper that can be used under my 17s that will out perform or equal the current crop of 6 and 8 pot entry level options or other 6 pot calipers. I would rather go the largest rotor I can because of the the inherent cooling advantages with the best compact caliper i can afford. Thanks and i would appreciate your assistance.
  4. will the 356mm Fronts fit on LMGT1 17 inch?
  5. Coilovers sold. Anyone want the intercooler and front pipe. Make an offer.
  6. Great vid on the legendary calsonic r32. enjoy.
  7. Ended up buying the autobahn88 set. Engine builder had a look at the hoses and said has used them a few times before with no problems. I will keep this thread updated with my experience with these over time.
  8. Thanks man i love the muppets.
  9. I will sell mine for less
  10. How much lighter. Stock ones aren't that heavy. I would think if anything the adjustability of the stockies is a reason to keep them.
  11. +1 Don't waste your time doing anything else before doing this. Speaking from experience.
  12. Got a FMIC from my r33 gtr if you want it.
  13. Interesting read. So does that mean that all the aftermarket ones that dont have adjustment are substandard to the adjustable stock ones. Are there any real advantages to the big dollar aftermarket ones?
  14. If your saying it's an issue at about 80km/hr then its hicas. Lock it out or learn to drive with it. Hicas will throw you into oversteer around a corner at 80km/hr and if you try to correct for it like in a rwd non hicas car with counter steer or even worse come off the throttle, you will become a spinning top. Stiff suspension and non perfect road will make it even worse. You are meant to hold the front wheels pointing forward and let it drag you around the corner and must keep you throttle on or the attessa system will stop working. Hard to do because it is against our insticts and you have to trust the attessa to drag you through the bend in oversteer. Best to practice on a track if you want to try and master this.
  15. What did you notice the most. Did your times come down at the track? Thanks
  16. How fast we're you going around corners and what type of corners. When you go straight over bumps does the rear hop around.??
  17. Do they make much difference when you are driving with the doors closed. Let us know your opinions on this. Thanks mate.
  18. HA HA, reminds me of when I had the front of my HSV on stands to rebuild the engine. Struggled to open both front doors. Had to keep the driver's door open for 2 months. 2 door skyline chassis are brilliant in comparison.
  19. Stock front pipes with heat shields. Good condition with surface rust. $100 ono Stock intercooler. Great condition. original paint so could be sprayed to make it look pretty. $200 Bilstein coilovers front and rear. Brilliant road coilover especially set up for high speed touring by AVO Turboworld about 10 years ago. Would keep them but going to do some track work so need adjustables. Never missed a beat, no knocking and dampen well. From what I know they are fixed, so no adjustibility. Car sits pretty close to stock height, (have provided photos of how my car sat when they were on) $500 Still got these want them gone. MAKE ME AN OFFER
  20. Yeah I know the last thing you want to do is rip the engine out again for those 2 or 3 that you cant get to. Only saving grace for me is that my engine builder said he has never had a failure. so I suppose if I trust him with my whole engine rebuild, I should trust him with his opinion on hoses. Ordering Autobahn88 today. Very nervous about hitting that 'Buy Now' button. Might take some valium before I jump onto ebay.
  21. Wow were you tapping my phone today. This is exactly what my engine builder said today. He said that as long as the hoses are 3 ply reinforced or more there is no issue with splitting and they outlast and are more reliable than OEM on high performance engines, BUT care needs to be taken on installing them more than OEM. He said he has seen some failures with people forcing them at an angle and cutting through the inside of the hose. Messaged the Autobahn88 hoses supplier and he said they are 4 ply, so my engine builder was happy going with them. So am I with a full set including radiator hoses at $260.
  22. Just got a quote from Nissan for the 15 hoses. About $700 dollars plus gst. Geeezz. Also need to get them from Japan most likely which will take about 1month.
  23. I have read that people have been using zip ties to stop the hoses from creeping. Is it that much of an issue though. I have had similar issues with OEM hoses on other cars that I have owned. Is it really more of an issue with silicon hoses.
  24. I have done a bit of research on these hoses on other forums. People are pretty happy with these. any other experiences?
  25. Cheers mate I will call them tomorrow. Thanks for your help.
