26/30 R34 Gtr **now With Results**
nomnomv8 replied to mr34 gtr's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
Cant go past the t51r proven and will always get the result, sounds so good on full boost too! What turbo did you end up going for?? This link is giving me serious headaches though, the want for this setup inside a street driven lightweight R32 GTR doing easy 10 second passes down the quater and then backing up on a circuit is so tempting!! http://www.spoolimports.com/articles-1/rb34det-results -
26/30 R34 Gtr **now With Results**
nomnomv8 replied to mr34 gtr's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
Car sounds absolutely mental i can imagine it being a blast to drive! Contemplating selling all assets and dumping an extra 60k in mine to make a mental rb26/34 (not srs but we can all dream lol..) -
My Bayside Blue R34 Vspec Gtr - Finally Detailed
nomnomv8 replied to iwanta34gtr's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
Looks imaculate mate great outcome ! Quick question, how much did all the detailing components set you back roughly?? Exterior detailing is not one of my strong passions as it tests my patience abit too much for my liking lol -
^^ Elite Racing And this is what I'm talking about. "E-Mechanics" trying to prove a point against people like yourself who have been doing it in and out and have seen the outcomes first hand multiple times. Seeing as the 400kw has been debunked into a intercooler debate lol (dont you love it when this happens) if anyone wants to buy a standard R34 GTR cooler in perfect condition which comes with Nismoids 400kw shoot me a PM

Import Thefts On The Rise
nomnomv8 replied to SecretR33GTR's topic in Importing, Compliance, Modification Laws & Regulations
Its pretty sad when you hear some of the stories and extents that people go through to take a car. Ive heard of a car getting stolen despite being parked in the garage with another car parked infront of it. If they really want to take it they will stop at nothing until they do so -
32 is only a problem because of the crank collar/oil pump issue and assuming he is building the car how hard is it to put a crank collar on with the motor out.. Yes there is stuffing around with the 26 into RWD but after all the guy wants to "build" a motor/car, the more stuffing around the better i say, how else are you going to learn about your car And the reason to that quote was the fact that I see mates running roughly 300 - 340kw at all 4 wheels on unopened 26's, none have gone bang yet. My other mates 25 just blew a gasket the other week at 270rwkw, sh*t example to be singling out one car but what im trying to get to i havn't seen many unopened RB25's do the numbers and LAST like a 26 does

What where the dimensions of your GReddy cooler? This. People are forgetting that coolers are basically a heat sink, a heat sink that's in this case 20 years old and was designed to cater for "206kw" at the fly... not almost double that at the wheels! Common sense, a cooler thats 600 x 300 with a depth of 60mm does not have more volume than a cooler thats the same dimensions and 100mm thick and at those power levels mentioned you have to have rocks in your brain not to realise that. Look at the Nismo coolers for example I guess that their engineers are dumwits and idiots not knowing that their 100mm thick coolers are useless because some nobody from a workshop in Australia said so. The point im trying to make is when you have already spent $10,000+ to get your 360kw+ car you think that you would do it right and invest that couple of hundred more after selling your uber cool OEM GTR cooler to a GTS-T owner.. Each to their own I guess, il do things the way they work for me, everyone is entitled to an opinion and while my opinion might be seen as "worthless spending" so be it, rather that than do what i believe is stupid and goes behind any engineering principle
-
Its definately not impossible and i never implied that, a bigger cooler will transfer heat alot more efficiently is what im saying.
-
If it was so good he wouldnt have replaced it for a Greddy one in his 360kw 33 that his selling, the cooler wasnt designed for those power levels and you cant argue that it is 100% efficient. It might do the job but its not going to do it as good as a bigger unit. Anyways not going to stir the pot, 400kw you will be hearing from me soon

Cheers bud appreciate it! Couldnt agree more with this one, thanks mate
-
Not a bad snap for an iphone!
-
Im not the one who owns a R34 4 door, just sayin
-
Sorry mate abit too big for my power goals / aims Ive had a few quotes on brand new units but as you would imagine their not exactly cheap. Im going to try hold out for a few more weeks and find a mint second hair pair of the 2530's otherwise i guess il have to go with the much cheaper -5's unfortunately.
-
The fact that he can run a very reliable and safe 330rwkw+ all day every day with nothing but injectors, fuel pump, exhaust, computer and a set of turbos or a single on it where as the Neo would be a ticking time bomb at those power levels on an unopened motor..

Being Sent To Epa, What To Do With Current Exhaust?
nomnomv8 replied to S3RK's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Been there done that when I was on my Ps lol.. Best thing to do is borrow a standard exhaust from someone on the forums (heck im sure someone will lend you it for a day in exchange for a case of beers). - Take off current loud exhaust - Put on standard exhaust - Go to EPA - Pass inspection - Put back old exhaust on and return borrowed exhaust Your looking at about $50 for a case (depending on what your buddy prefers ), $60 from memory to take the test and the $20 or odd you will be spending driving to pick up the exhaust and drop it back off.. Still adds up alot cheaper than paying a couple hundred and getting a whole new exhaust fabricated -
There is no way on earth you will build a motor for 10k, well not properly anyways. Agree with nismoid on this one, simple bolt ons to get abit of power out of it and with the left over get yourself a set of coil overs and take it from there. Going from P plates to 280rwkw in its own should be more than enough to satisfy you anyways
-
Why would you want crappy ethanol anyways mate, pump gas for life =p
-
thanks for the offer mate after the 2530's though. anyone ???
-
Car is absolutely beautiful mate imo that black thing on the bumper ruins it though, all personal preference though. Definately one of the nicest 34's ive seen!
-
Was gona say its one of my mates, ive got a 34R that frankly doesnt come out often enough to get spotted haha

Rb25 Bottom End Build Oil Pump Choice
nomnomv8 replied to boostn0199's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
You will find alot of the people bad mouthing the N1 pumps have had no real experience what so ever with them and are pretty much just parrotting 1-2 forum members on here who have had a bad experience with them. IMO bang for buck the N1 pump is great and I have been in many cars running 300+ kw at the wheels and recieving regular belting without fail on an untouched n1 pump, each to their own but. If you have money to blow go the Tomei pump, otherwise just stick to the N1 imo -
As title states im after a pair of HKS 2530's in new or used condition (if used must be A1 mechanically). Prefer pick up from Sydney but will also take delivery. PM me any offers ! Cheers
