  3. Hmm Terry and Adam I am sitting in a completely contrary position to what you guys speak of. Stuck here and can’t leave as I just have it too good condition wise and pay at the ultimate expense of enjoyment and satisfaction. Heck im at work right now and have been since 6am getting payed ridiculously large amounts for it but damn I cant wait to get out of here! Ive learned to accept it though and make the most of your personal life after work and luckily for me work rarely ever spills over to it. After all we don’t live to work, we work to live!
  4. Normal 5 day week and clearing 1300? Theres are a few tradies out there earning 45+ an hour but i certainly wouldnt say its "normal". If you had said clearing 1300 with a saturday or weekday OT fair enough
  5. I have a set of eyelid which have been sitting in my garage for quiet some time now that i havn't had use for. They come painted in bayside blue and are in perfect condition. Pic below of them fitted. $50 I also have a set of standard springs off a R34 25GT (N/A) coupe. No idea how much their worth $100 and their yours. Pickup from Sydney preferred.   7. Having never driven turbo before and jumping onto 300+awkw is good fun lol i think you should buy my stock 34R ceramics and enjoy a whooping 260awkw and learn to appreciate a turbocharged vehicle This x 100.
  8. If you didnt blow anything on the rex you will be fine with the gtr. The 34R can be very reliable and cop a huge belting with no hassles at power levels around the high 200 to low 300kw mark but then again like with any car once you start excessively modifying things can and do go wrong. I dont know where your looking on the market but any R34 that is around R35 money better be mofidifed off its head with only the best parts and pulling 800+ horses otherwise yes it is hugely overpriced and a rip off. Even Nur's are dropping in price these days and you will have at least 20 grand left over change for the nicest of examples when compared to a 35.
  9. Just my 2c on this entire -9 vs -5 topic having been in cars with both setups i can safely say -9's will get boring rather quickly. For a car that is driven 1-2x a week i cant see why you wouldnt go the bigger power of the -5's. All this lag stuff is nonsense too alot of guys in this thread are treating the -5's as if though their some t51r sized monsters, realistically the lag is not too bad at all. Going 60-70kmh in 4th and drop it down to 2nd. The difference in the pull of the -5's is whats sold me. If your using your GTR for twisties where response is needed every week go the -9, for anything else -5's all day.
  10. Nonsense, everybody loves abit of angry induction sound! apart from the 5-0 In saying that has anyone actually tried using the standard airbox on a GTR with the z32 afm's? I imagine there to be some chopping and melting of the airbox to get a good fit
  11. Coming back recently from a holiday in our neighbouring NZ i got quiet a shock when i saw regular unleaded prices of $2.10 there! Our situation with petrol prices might be pretty but we still have it relatively well in comparison to other countries out there
  12. What setup have you got at the moment and how much power are you running ?? 120mph should be mid - high 11s depending on your driving ability, tyres and other factors.
  13. If anything the rattle makes the car sound tough and like a race car which the GTR is intended to be. Each to their own i guess

  15. THIS x 1000. You are right though in general conditions where your not pushing it to the limit the GTR is alot more forgiving due to its traction. When it does let go on you though your pretty well screwed lol
  16. 370kw and a 12.2 lol? Guy must either be a horrendous driver or his power figures have been inflated by a good 120kw as ive seen almost bone stock R's with a few addons running close to those times. Congrats on the 12.3 btw thats a pretty quick time non the less for a street car, what sort of power figures are u running ?
  17. Quick snap after a wash turned out pretty good. Took the centercaps out to try something different and i still dont know weather to go the 19 x 10.5 TE37's that im after or just wack some spacers and lower it on the standard wheels as every man and his GTR is running te37's. Decisions decisions lol

The 34 is very raw and brutal and you can tell it has been designed with the purpose of being a race car and nothing else where as the others you mentioned all seem to have a luxary aspect and are all made in a different era of vehicles all together - In saying that at a relatively stock level (~250awkw) it is still very driveable on the street and will pull you mid 12's at the creek all day every day. My opionion: If you actually have to contemplate about buying an R34 GTR then it isnt a car for you.
  19. No problems mate kind of makes me proud when i see people using them haha. Ive got the skirts and rear pods sitting at home just too lazy to take them past my mates shop and whack some paint on them and put them on and with double demerits this week I wont be in a big rush to do so either lol
  20. Might need to attack my brakes this week. I thought slotted rotors and new bendix ultimates would get rid of it but no luck. Does anyone know any shim kits suitable for the 34 GTR brembos ?
  21. Both will be horrendously slow and get beaten by the new v6 commodores and falcons and you will merely just be a "poser" with a Skyline or Silvia badge. My advice is save your money and upgrade once you get your full licence
  22. Absolute bargain who ever picks this up! Thats easily $20-30,000 worth of aftermarket parts on the car and it looks amazing too. GL with sale mate
  23. Too much speculation and not enough straight forward information. Name and shame as it could prevent a fellow SAU member from falling into a similar scenario later down the track. Best of luck to who ever bought it and hopefully he doesnt have big repair bills as a result for not doing his research
