  1. Is it a vid from the old Arrows team cos I can't think of an orange f1 team... although McLaren have that salmony colour this year...
  2. ummm... i woulda thought you'd need a new speedo gear as well as the dash insert... makes sense considering the standard speedo goes to 180... multiply that by 2 and you have 360... close enough to 300...
  3. GT is definately single turbo... perhaps he got confused between twin-turbo and twin-scroll turbo I did the first time i heard about it.
  4. Yea, my coils are on there way as we speak... so no more missing for me soon.
  5. maybe the head light looks crooked cos the GT-R ones are slightly bigger and so there is a gap between bonnet and headlight??? just a thought
  6. If it's been good enough for the last 5,000 years, why stop now?? bargaining is the underlying factor the laws of economics and natural market forces... demand goes up, price goes up... if people don't want to pay that much they won't... granted, people should read the thread, if they don't want to pay the price, don't pay it... ask the seller if he is willing to go lower, but if he says no, leave it at that...
  7. RT33 i'd say that's because the coils are rooted, and lowering the gap means the coils can do the half arsed job they were designed to... i bet if he upgraded to split fires and ran the 1.1 gap he would be even happier... I have the same problem...
  8. u didnt accidently bolt a turbo on too by any chance?
  9. i doubt anyone will be able to help you with such a general question... you'll need at the least size, PCD and offset; or you'llhave to go and try them on... good luck.
  10. they make sure the car can be registered and if theres any money owing on it, if it's stolen etc... theres prolly a website if you search for it... should tell you what they can do and what you need to know etc...
  11. is this the one that goes in the ashtray slot?
  12. As far as I was aware... All car's that come in to Australia need to be returned to stock before they can undergo compliance... Ofcourse most places replace the parts removed once the car has been complied, but there would be the odd dodgy compliance workshop thatwould sell the parts seperately.... perhaps this is the issue...
  13. in NSW you can get the RTA do do a REVS check on it... they will then advise you of any problems... don't know about other states, but i'm sure there'd be similar facilities in place...
  14. hmm ur link it seem to be the suck ??
  15. it says under mods RB26DETT... the cam wheel cover also says RB26... maybe i missed something in the original post...
  16. does your car make a 'popping' sounds while it is 'lagging'?
  17. the difference between dyno reading is enough to blow any comparison and reliablilty of power out of the water... i take all dyno readings with a grain or two of salt these days as so many dodgy tuners report falsse numbers.
  18. Anybody who attempts to steal, or even damage another persons property deserves to die... Not really related, but my gf's car was vandalised last week (these were obviously people who are too stupid to even become theives). They wrote two immmature profanities on the passenger door, and "tagged" the drivers door... I don't know what they hoped to achieve from such a feat, but i'm guessing it was my fist in there face...
  19. i believe u candeviate 5 or 10% not sure which one... and the reason is that is throws the speedo outa whack...
  20. i'd say if he didn't give u the paper work then n there, u won't get a fine... but i could be wrong.
  21. the problem still remains that a well looked after dyno is going to be somewhat more free rolling that a poorly maintained one... dyno's are good for competitions and comparisons on the same dyno (ir tuning purposes)... other than tha they dont hold much cred IMHO.
  22. wider rear tyre gives bigger contact patch = more grip at the rear... your car is RWD, so u need more grip at the rear when launching... If anything, I would have thought that a wider tyre would put more stress on components since there is a greater resistance to movement, so the shock goes through those parts that can move. eg... bigger rear tyre puts more stress through gearbox cos instead of just spinning, the tyre sticks and causes resistance against gearbox/diff... as for the fronts... i cant see how turning with less resistence is going to stuff anything up in the long run... maybe if you had super wide tyres on the front there'd be more stress because instead of the tyres just scrubbing along (understeer) they are gripping and the suspension is left to disapate more of the energy... i dunno... sounds like a retard to me.
  23. any idea how to adjust power steering belt?? i figured out how to adjust the alternator belt... doesnt help me much cos i cant see a similar thingon the other side.
