  1. That turbo is just and uprated T28 isn't it??? Would probably come on boost a lot quicker than the standard turbo.
  2. I'd dare say not!
  3. what was the ***cing dyno results??
  4. Got my brake lights fixed, and it turned out to be what Crimmo suggested (and the only thing I didn't check!) that little black box on the RH rear tailight. Apparently its just a sender type unit that tells your cluster whether any of the lights are out. It was all melted and fried on the inside! All they did was take it out and bypass it. On another note I woke up bright and early this morning to take my radiator out. Its in getting fixed up as it has a small pin prick on the top tank! Hopefully they can resolder another top tank on or fix the old one, just don't want it to cost the earth! Talking about top speeds, the other nite I gave the Skyline a blast and wound it off the clock past 180 doing about 5500-6000rpm (didn't get exact rpm as was concentrating on Prado I whizzed past) :whatsthat
  5. Anything is possible..... depending on how much money you've got to burn!
  6. It couldn't have been the panel beaters, as they didnt disconnect anything. Like Crimmo said, it could be that little black control box, thats the only thing I didnt check (although I wondered what it did!). I had a good look today at work and I know the taillights were changed after it was imported coz they were cracked. There are two left over wires either side with provisions for a push in type 12V globe, I put globe in these and tried the brakes but it did nothing. Anyways to cut a long story short its going down to auto electricians tomorrow morning, they will definetely sort it out in like 10 minutes I reakon!
  7. Also, 3rd party fire and theft isn't available in NSW.
  8. Can anyone solve my riddle??? Brake lights don't work when brake pedal is depressed. All fuses checked. And Brake pedal switch has been replaced. Why won't my friggen brake lights work??? With all this rainy weather, its too dangerous for them not too. Already almost been rear ended about 6 times. They light up when headlights are turned on, but just dont come on brighter when braking. Any suggestions???
  9. No they won't fit R33 GTR, but Xenon Lights are available for R33's!
  10. Thats pretty cheap. 2nd hand Jap ones go for about $500 for 9 row. Is it Australian?? If so, it would be just like comparing Hybrid vs Trust Intercoolers. Every has their own opinion on the quality of both brands. The size of the rows looks very small, like its 5mm per row compared to 15mm on a Trust/Grex kit. It would more than likely have Earls or Speedflex (sp?) lines in the kit. I found out something interesting today - that Earls (an American based company) supply majority of the braided lines/fittings and even oil coolers in the available kits on the JDM.
  11. "Well my car puts out 550hp at 22psi with a hybrid (standard turbo)" - as quoted by one of my customers who owns a stock E15ET bar BOV + Bleed Valve + Catback exhaust! :bs!:
  12. Just ring around your local suspension shops and see what they can supply. I priced a set of KYB shocks at about $200 a pair for front + $300 a pair for the back.
  13. The rims are off a R32 GTS (4 stud) - read the original post. No they won't fit R32 GTST.
  14. I'm sure an R32 GTR can be bought for $15k :thumbdwn:
  15. no because they are 4 stud mags!
  16. Mate that could be true, but it gives me piece of mind knowing that when I'm driving along and the car is hot, it is still sitting below the 1/4 mark - the air has somewhere to feed out other than the gearbox tunnel. Whereas when I pull up in traffic, they needle goes up to halfway. It's still cheaper than putting bonnet vents in, and reversable if it doesn't work as well as you want it to.
  17. I was lead to believe that Nissan in Japan nearly went belly up a few years back and is now owned by Renault???? And that they canned new GTR's, and nearly canned the 350Z but had to release/sell them coz they were to far into it???
  18. One main issue is running costs - if you have the money to run a GTR 7 days a week..... why not??
  19. I got my car back from the panel shop on Thursday. Looks a heap better and is really smooth all buffed up. Got the top 1/2 of the car resprayed and a few other odds and ends fixed up. Still a fair bit of sanding dust to clean up but thats no biggy. They did an excellent job of fixing the rust in the strut towers. Also put some Redline gearbox oil in today to try get the gears to go in a bit easier especially in 1st coz its hard to engage a lot of the time. I've only done about 30kms with it in there - it usually takes between 500-1000km to get it moving really smooth. I'm wanting to get FMIC done asap but all the workshops around here are booked up for the next 4-5 weeks. But that gives me time to do all the inexpensive jobs! At least the motor trimmer can do my car in 2 weeks - retrimming the back seat + door trims to match my R34 front seats.
  20. Nispares/Datparts (0397298497) carry stock for the older Nissan's! The prices on most items are reasonable as well (I bought a brand new front lower control arm for $150). Thats my addition for now.
