  1. from my brief experience the amount of power is only as useful to how how much you can put to the ground. ie. my car makes 220 rwkw and was sliding round corners and wheelspinning out of them, also braking, the shitter your tyres the longer the stopping distance. don't forget suspension or tyres, otherwise 500hp and 250hp will be just as quick
  2. GTRS....no Qs about it, enough scope to push 300rwkw and yet small enough to have almost stock spool up

  4. there is a fuel pump control module (FPCM) which regulates between a low and high volume mode, other then that it just pumps either of the 2 modes, that being said in your engine bay is a fuel pressure regulator (FPR) which regulates the pressure of the flow into the fuel rail meaning that the pump just pumps at its one speed all the time and the FPR regulate it for you. that why these guys are saying it doesn't matter which pump you go far, if the WALBRO is leaning out up top its because it pumping at maximum pressure / volume and simply cannot supply more fuel. the FPR cannot up the pressure provided by the fuel pump merely reduce and regulate it

  11. will make bugger all difference, u realise how much air a car goes thru when on full boost at high RPM only the air touching the sides of the pipe would be affected by heat soak, and even then for a very brief period of time, will probably make bugger all difference
  12. is there any conclusive way to test throttle response, has anyone dyno'ed there car before and after a v-mount setup, just because it feels better doesn't mean it is, proof anyone ?
  13. do a search for some of the many posts by sydneykid regarding shorter cooler pipes and how removing 20cm of pipe is going to make no difference, but to do the maths at 3000 rpm and zero boost / vac your 2.5L engine is consuming 3750L of air per minute or 62.5L per second assuming u save 20cm of pipe and that its 2.5inch pipe that will have a volume of approx. 1.5L in that pipe. so your engine will consume that air in 0.024 of a second, now add boost etc....to the equation and is it worth sacrificing your aircon for 0.024s of throttle response sorry if this is wrong but as my understanding goes this is how it'd work

  16. there are 2 BP's near me, one charges 10c above regular unleaded, regardless, always 10c the other one seems to set a price which doesn't change, somedays ultimate will be 2c more then regular but other days it might be 15c dearer, it seems he only changes the ultimate price every shipment or somethong, not sure but it's worked in my benefit many a time
  17. u getting smoke on back off from full throttle or just normal putting around, cause if its after full throttle then thats less of a problem then if otherwise
  18. mate you can't describe a noise by a problem, if you says it sounds like a wheel nut then its a wheel nut, what does it really sound like, short thump, clunk, snap ??? air realsed sound ? metal on metal, metal on plastic ?
  19. being a 4WD there would be plenty of situations when the engine is flogging it tits off on full boost and the car is barely moving at all, low range can see a car doing 1.7 km/hr on the redline....hence zero airflow and max boost
  20. how much power you can get to the ground will depend on how wide your tyres are, wether you've got decent tyres on there, and your rear end suspension setup. should be able to make a fair bit out of that engine though
  21. these will be fine with the stocko 33 gtst rims right, the tyres on those were 255/50/16 to start with....
  22. hmmmmm interesting, i'm assuming r33 ones are 370cc then so S15 would give me an extra 70cc which should be enough, i'll look into it further
  23. hey guys need a bit of help, i can get my hands on some SR20 injectors and i've heard they flow more but i'm unsure, do they fit and do they flow more ? if so is it worth upgrading, how easy would it be to adjust the PFC tune ? cheers
