  3. maybe consider getting an exhaust shop to put in a reducer plate on ur exhaust if u r driving for that long, mine is ridiculous after 2 hours to syd, u can hear ur ears trying to counter adjust to the noise, would hate to tihnk what it'd be like after 13 hours other then that food, water, and a 1000000 cds
  4. yeah sucks when u launch and when u snap second the car steps out sideways.............
  5. to answer your questrion thoguh, i'm pretty sure u can turn boost off (ie. no bleeding) this means u onl run the 7 psi or whatever the stock wastegate actuator runs. without modifying that i don't think u culd go any lower. remember your right foot is always a good form of boost control as well, and is much easier to control.......
  6. i'll meet ya's at the twin shells at wallsend about 7.40 ish, sounds like a plan, won't be entering have to work that arvo, but i'll come down for a while in the morning.....
  7. i got a HD clutch installed, car should be tuned tommorow and should be time for some launch practice traction is a big problem though, already spins through 1 and 2.....

  9. i will cost stuff all later to get the piping re worked to fit a new plenum and judging by ur profile u r only 18 and thus won't be changing everyting at once, u probably won't be happy spending 2k on a cooler / plenum and noticing very little gains where as a cooler and PFC u should be stoked with the gains u recieve

  17. well i had a fiddle with the PFC, turned down the 50 deg value in the PFC, seems to be runnign ok, its hard to tell nowhere to get up into 4th gear and wheelspin city thru 1,2, and a bit of 3, so hopefully tommorow will be cold and dry and we'll see, how can i find out how the thermo is set ??? got up to 70 deg quickly tonight on the way home and hovered there not until i put the boot in (3 short boosts in 3rd) did it start to climb and only upto 74 deg, then slowly dropped again......
  18. enough petrol and enough heat...............
  19. so hopefully getting the PFC tuned should fix this problem, thats cool, aslong as it seems like a normal thing to be happening, so since its getting tuned next week i'll slowly play with the PFC and see what happens
  20. so is it safe to run full slicks without front runners aslong as i stay sub 200kph (120mph) or is this going to cause problems ???
  21. hmmmmmm unfortunately without an oil temp sensor i woulnd't have a clue about oil temps but one would assume they are cooler if the engine is running cooler....... so can i adust using the water temp correciton maps ?
  22. hey my thermo died so it had been replaced but the car is now running much cooler then it originally was, these days its lucky to get upto 70deg (damn winter) whilst it was originally running at approx 85 deg. can this cause bad fuel consumption ? loss of power ? engine damage ? i'm just wondering cause i was looking at the water temp correction tables in the PFC and noticed that the only place where its set to 1.00 is at 80 deg +++ but if my water temp doesn't reach 80deg + then it'll always be treating the engine as if its still warming up..... should i get the thermo adjusted or can i just set the settings in the PFC to 1.00 for water temps at 60 deg + also in the correciton tables there are 2 columns i assume one is for A/C on and the other for A/C off, but am unsure.... please help
  23. well i doubt i'll be running 12.5 or quicker but yeah just wanna do it outta curiosity, so below 120mph (200kph ish) they should be fine with my 18s on the front, well might get down there early and have a few runs without them and a few with, and see how it goes
