-
Oh no!!! Our number plates are showing!!! We'll be hunted down!!! LOL....
-
Thanks to all for coming...we had 7 members today!!! Not sure if you guys noticed, but there were a few drive-by on-lookers checking out the rims and cars... V35 Coupes: rs73 (Rianto) MILLOS (Pablo) BenzLe (Benny) scorp (Sam) pw350gt (Yun) V35 Sedans: nissan_rules siu_loong_bao Some pics: By 2:40, there were 5 members.... By 3:00, there were the jolly 7!!!! Pics are available in Hi-res upon request. Please also PM me your contact numbers and email addresses, so I can add you on MSN. I was happy with the turnout, considering there wasn't many interest!!! Hopefully, the next V35 VIC Meet will be greater by number and at a place where we weren't freezing our balls off.... There was a general consensus to have a baking day...NO! Not the cooking/baking, but baking headlights to remove the orange blinkers...Once I perfect it on my sedan (when I get some more $$$ to order my new headlights), I'll get something arranged... Stuff discussed included: Do's and don'ts What was worth modifying (grounding kit, CAI, bulbs, HID) Bose Stereos & Compliancing Ricer stuff.... Personally, I liked MILLOS's deep dish rims and pw350gt's CF paddle shifts....Very ricer!!! Nelson.

Changing Spark Plugs Diy
siu_loong_bao replied to -= SKiZO =-'s topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
I just ordered a set of the NGK Iridium LFR6AIX-11 (not LFR5AIX-11) from the US for $85 delivered...now just need to wait for it to arrive... The passenger side 'seems' easy to replace, but the driver side is a bum...that G35 link is awesome!!! Thanks SKiZO... -
hehehe.... or if you really got money to burn, buy some run-flats with the TPMS!!! My wife owned a Mini Cooper S in Dubai (with the factory TPMS and run-flats) and the combo worked great!

Group Purchase Gounding Kit
siu_loong_bao replied to FoxV35's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
I bought a generic grounding kit from HK (well, bought it 3 years ago for about $50 AUD) and it comprised of 5 cables, but reading this thread, it seems that I am missing 3!!! (in order to be just as good as the US kit)... I have wired up mine a bit differently though....And I'll take a few pics to show you (after tomorrow's VIC Meet). The only cable I think is an 'essential' is the tranny one, so I am gonna find another wire to do it. -
The closest aftermarket thing to have a TPMS in your V35 is to buy a kit online...Forgot the name of the kit, but you'll find it would set you back around $200-ish dollars from Taiwan. They screw onto the tyre valves and have an anti-theft mechanism. The batteries on the valve units are supposed to last 1 year.... I suppose the kit works as I saw a retailer at a 4x4 place sell the same product (same brand) for $350.... Just search for [tyre monitor] on eBay...

Yeah, greet and meet...and to freeze our "balls" off.... Maybe the next meet, we can book at Garage Cafe... There's many who have read this thread, but seems reluctant to come...This is a NOTE TO ALL, the more that come and meet, the more of a 'Force' we become and the more events can be arranged in future... Rianto - you wife is Asian? Yes, I know the 1st month thingy ('cos I'm Asian too), the baby is supposed to be 1 yr old after the 1st month...

Changing Spark Plugs Diy
siu_loong_bao replied to -= SKiZO =-'s topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
It would be good if a DIY and pics can be added. I want to change mine and hearing 2 members say it is 'a pain' to replace gives me the jitters. Also, I've never sheered a bolt off b4, hence, this would be my worst nightmare if it were to happen. Note: I've gone into the Performance Lub website and 6 x NGKs plus post is $97 delivered. Maybe I'll just linger around a bit until I gather more info on the DIY spark plug change b4 I decide to buy... -
My wife is definitely staying at home....She's not into cars at all and will be bored... I'll bring a SLR camera also...

Hi all, I am about to purchase a set of NGK Iridium IX LFR5AIX-11 Spark Plugs from the USA for the VQ35DE....Has anyone replaced their sparks with these NGKs and noticed any difference? From experience, 3 years ago, I replaced my 1989 MX5 NA6CE with Iridium NGKs + NGK spark lead and notice a bit more response at high revs. But then again, I would think that it was more attributed to plugs + lead...and not just the plugs. They are about $90 USD...so am I wasting money? Also, for those interested, someone has posted a set of NGK Laser Platinum Premium PLFR5A-11 on ebay for the VQ35DE for $99 or something like that....But I don't think that they are iridium...

Anyone Need A New 5spd Auto?
siu_loong_bao replied to n15m0's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
how do u check what gearbox u have on the v35 sedan? -
Albert Park per the rectangular parking is fine.....what time on Sat 25/7? I'll be there, but must be minimum of 4 forum members or it's not worthwhile for me to drive all the way there....
-
hmm....another venue then? garage cafe does look ok though... i am definitely in..regardless of location - keen on meeting u guys...hopefully, i am not the only guy with a v35 sedan on the day....
-
Rianto, we can do the meet at your place and say G'day to the bub! Hehe... Maybe not a cruise then...but definitely a meeting spot with a big carpark (hassle-free parking) would be good...

Hi All, (Chris Rogers may be the DA MAN for this)... I have a 2003 V35 sedan with the BOSE system and the steering wheel controls on the left hand side, see pic attached. Now, I am maybe one of the unlucky few that had my factory monitor, etc removed and had an after market Panasonic HDD SatNav and 7" LCD installed (which is 'useless' and only used for the reverse camera). I will be removing the whole system and will be buying a 2 DIN Fascia to install a Sony headunit and motorised LCD screen in lieu of the BOSE 6 Stack CD/Tape Player. I have already found the Fascia and the wire harness to connect up to the BOSE Amp and speaker system. However, from the same seller, they claim to have a steering wheel control interface that retains the use of the factory steering wheel controls (and mates it to the Sony headunit). However, this unit is for the G35 Infiniti and they cannot confirm if it works on the V35. But, going through their Tech Notes, it seems that this "may" work on the V35. See here: http://76.12.243.71/swixprogramming/showst...cles&ID=211 And here: http://www.pac-audio.com/PACProductData/SW...ions_061407.pdf My question is: 1. By reading the info in the 2 links, can any Tech person confirm the wiring harness is the same, etc. 2. Is anyone willing to install this for me? Like I said, Chris may be DA MAN for this job, but before I go spending $100USD on this unit, I need some assurance that it will work. If this works on my car, it means that it will open the floodgates for many other V35 owners to explore changing their headunits and utilising the same factory steering wheel controls...

Ok, I am gonna be doing mine in the next few weeks or so (with a PVC pipe)... Anyone keen for a DIY Fender-Rolling Dodgy Day?
-
So if u could have chosen, you would have went for a smaller + number, say +35F and +35R? Or even less? I can't make up my mind to what I want at the moment with regards to rim width, offsets, and tyre thickness... And, looking at your car, 19s don't seem to be 'big' enough for my liking, or maybe it's just the tyres? There's a special at the moment for the WORK Schwert rims, $2800 USD shipped + any taxes due from a supplier in Hong Kong...Details are: 19x9 +25 Front 19x10 +25 Rear I don't know, it's all so 'confusing'....

Restoring Headlight Lens
siu_loong_bao replied to Blue Arrow's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Ok, I went and bought a headlight restoration kit made by Permatex today at the local car parts store. Will do this on the weekend and post some pics... Worth a try for $30....I mean, I blew $54.50 on a Mega Quickpick yesterday, so....
