  1. I would suggest the EBC Green Stuff brake pads...see RS73's GB...I got ventilated disc rotors x 4 and EBC greenstuff brake pads for a bargain, and the stopping has been great!!!.....
  2. easy_tiger...$60???? So cheap....where? I haven't had a chance to change my spark plugs to the NGKs iridiums yet, so I may as well get my seals done too... do you know the part number?
  3. nismo...let's share the popcorn... Anyway, I am keen for the CF Bonnet and Boot Lid (but without the spoiler)...I assume that the bootlid is for series 2? I need to figure out a way to update my series 1 boot lid to the much cleaner series 2 one, hence the interest... On another note, I'll be putting on my low profile WRX spoiler soon (the reason why I dun want an integrated CF bootlid spoiler)...
  4. This is what a set of 20" WALD Strefeins would look like....
  5. Update... Bought a set of 2nd hand WALD Streifen 19" for the V35....19x8.5 +38 Offset. They fit quite well. Too bad that they have some gutter rash and the clear coats are cracking...Apart from that, I quite like them....
  6. my set is for sale... http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Fs...av-t288675.html
  7. Yeah..it's not hard...just troublesome.... I don't have the updated interior (as mine is the 02 model), but when I ripped out all my my stuff, i even had to remove the passenger seat as the Panasonic brain was under there...you shouldn't need to go beyond the exteme that I went to...
  8. Ok... Update, Some of you pointed out the fact that those with an existing Bose system will not have the cubby box nor the cubby box lid....Very valid... Hence, all conditions of sale are now cancelled. You only pay for postage on top of your offer.... Also, not interested in seperating at this point in time...The whole lot is virtually at a giveaway price....
  9. The OEM Bose amp is currently being used, so, "no", amp not included, please refer to listing.... Happy to also throw in a Bose headunit harness that converts to RCA outputs (depending on the final price being offered). You'll need to figure out how to integrate it though...
  10. Sure I will seperate...$400 per item... Honestly, if I seperate, the other stuff will be useless...so I'd rather see it go to a good home on a V35... All of those with a Bose headunit should be snapping up this deal - i can't stress how expensive it is to get a Bose unit fixed when it stuffs up...So a good spare, plus the added benefit of a reverse cam, MD stacker... Another thing, becos the MD stacker is the OEM unit, it runs via the CD button and appears as "MD" on the Bose display screen (from memory, that is what it did). As to the MP3s, the Panasonic unit plays MP3s. There's heaps of piggy back harnesses and wires/cables (as shown), so I don't know how the installer managed to get everything running in unison with each other....This is why I cannot offer any installation help, it's beyond my technical capabilities...Getting it out and sorting out what/what-not to remove and installing a double DIN was a challenge in itself. Back to the listing....Any takers?
  11. Nismo - I did a lot of the work also, it's just that there was no way for my dad to take pics of me under the car... We tried the vice grip pliers for like 20 mins, but not enough clearance to get it to bit and turn (except for an upwards position - meaning no turning force)... We tried WD40 for 1 hr... We tried hammer and chisel for one of the nuts, and it was like butter...didn't do sh*t... We tried hammering a Size 11 socket into it (was a size 12 nut)...no luck there and rounded the nut further... I am so annoyed now..can't concentrate on anything, just thinking about those 3 bugger of nuts.... Yo-yo - yes, front sway bar nut was also a killer...took 20 mins per nut to undo...the secret is getting enough ground clearance to maximise the elbow/arm force... RS73 will be taking a sound clip when I see him next....
  12. Here is the strut brace....not happy about the sheered nuts....desperately need advice on how to remove them.
  13. Ok, today my dad and I installed the following: 1. Stillen Catback exhaust - twin tube flow design & stainless steel 2. Stillen front and rear sway bars A lot of elbow grease, WD40 was required.... Pics of install: Sway Bar - Front Sway bar - Rear Exhaust - Old Exhaust Comparisons - Old vs New Exhaust - New Final Product... Commentary: 1. despite the pricey amount (and super expensive shipping), I would happily pay to buy the Stillen exhaust again. It gives a slightly deeper drone at idle and is just as quiet as the OEM unit. 2. At full acceleration, the noise is not loud (unlike the many previous exhaust I have had on my other cars over the years) 3. The car feels more revvy and feels more powerful at full acceleration. Stillen claims it adds an additional 21 to 23 HPs...Obviously, I need to get it on a dyno if I wanted to prove it... 4. If you ask how come I didnt get a JDM exhaust, let me tell you a secret....Stillen are class leading when it comes to their products on Nissan 350z, G35s, Altimas.... Ok, after all that, I was going to install the Stillen front Strut Brace - but here's the problem....I have killed my strut tower nuts x 3 whilst trying to undo them. Can anyone suggest how I can get them removed??? They are the 3 nuts on the battery side where there ain't alot of room to move...
  14. ok.... some birdy (thanks!!!) told me the following: 1. The CD mechanism is worth $700 alone... 2. The unit will only work with a car equipped with BOSE...so do your homework (if u r thinking to upgrade) 3. The 16GB hard drive is automotive grade (not the average units found in a laptop) and is worth $100 alone 4. The OEM reverse cam is worth $800 new ex Japan So offers over $400 is a bargain..... pic of reverse cam:
  15. 1. 16gd hard drive can store mp3 and stuff...i can't get it to run becos of the japanese. however, managed to get the mp3 to play. any doubts, pls go download the manual...if i get the money i want for the whole lot, i'll throw in a portable 2.25" HD case to unplug the hard disk into the case for use on the pc... 2. yes, offers of over $400 for the whole lot as shown, plus the factory camera (not pictured)...please note the conditions of sale.
  16. ***DON"T COMMENT ON THIS AD IF YOU HAVE NO INTENTION OF BUYING, NOR OFFER A SILLY PRICE PLEASE*** For all you keen on either wanting to upgrade your V35 to a BOSE Headunit or just want a replacement to your existing unit, here is a super rare opportunity to buy it from me... I have removed all items with care (even cable tied everything for neatness) and everything WORKS!!! Details: 1. BOSE 6 CD Head Unit (I forgot to eject my CDs, so the buyer has 6 CDs as a bonus) 2. Climate Control Unit with the dual climate button (very very rare) 3. Centre Fascia 4. Panasonic CN-HD9000SD Unit. Supports Voice Control, TV Tuner (Jap Channels Only), Jap GPS, SD Card Slot, 16MB SD Card, 2 Remotes, 2 GPS Antennae, 1 Microphone, Control Box (Brain), 16GB Hard Disk with preloaded Jap Menu and Jap GPS Maps 5. Panasonic 7" LCD monitor that runs from the CN-HD9000SD Unit. Includes mounting bracket. 6. Factory Reverse Cam & Control Module 7. Factory Minidisk 6 Disc Stacker - runs off the Bose Unit 8. All cables, wires/harnesses - no instructions, I have neatly rolled the wires back up (took me 2 hours). 9. I'll even throw in the Radio FM expander Please submit to me your best offer (only offers above $400 considered). Just the replacement BOSE headunit alone is worth $300 minimum. Closing date is 31 Oct 2009. If I don't get what I am after, it will go onto ebay. Conditions of sale: 1. Buyer pays for postage. I prefer local pickup (Melb west side) so I can show you a rough outline of where everything fits. 2. Buyer needs to swap me their cubby box (in lieu of mine as mine will have the predrilled holes for the LCD mounting bracket) 3. Buyer needs to give me their cubby box lid (as they won't need it, the LCD screen and surround will fully cover the cubby box area) 4. Buyer needs to swap me their centre armrest glove box (inner unit) in lieu of mine as mine will have the predrilled holes for the Minidisk Stacker). The fine print: 1. Everything WORKS, no 'ifs' no 'buts'... 2. No returns, buy as-is, ask as many questions to satisfy yourself... 3. Although a great deal of care has been taken to neatly roll the cables, etc, I cannot provide you with installation instructions and any advice given is at your own risk. Pics as follows. If you need a pic of a particular item or area, let me know.... siu_loong_bao at hotmail.com or 0403 347 739 after 5pm. Overall Reverse Cam Items BOSE Unit & Centre Console Pics Minidisk Stacker
  17. for all those keen, my 350GT-8 sedan bose cd player (6 disc), MD 6 disk stacker, panasonic 7" lcd screen, panasonic satnav (japanese) with 4GB hard drive and SD card slot, factory reverse cam is up for grabs...when I do my full stereo install, i'll post it up..stay tuned!!! my centre console fascia with the dual climate control and A/C module is likely to go up for sale also...
  18. i am also gonna change mine too...my stillen sway bars (F + R) and front strut brace arrived last week...along with my stillen catback exhaust... did u have to get a customs broker to clear the items? it was a very costly exercise for me...customs, GST, clearance, fees, delivery costed me almost $800 alone!!!
  19. GB is off due to low numbers. Thanks to all who put their names down. Moderators - pls lock thread.
  20. oh come on...spotting each other's cars whilst queuing for Chris's surgery shouldn't be counted!!! LOL...
  21. Yeah... To V35 sedan owners - don't bother investigating, it won't fit!!!! I am waiting for my Stillen catback exhaust (Gen 2) to come...I think the Yanks have put more research and have outdone the Japs for JDMs this time for the V35/G35s...My personal opinion anyway. The Stillen V35 Sedan kit is currently on special for those interested. Shipping will cost you though...plus the GST and customs...So make allowances if you r gonna consider buying...
  22. Gosh.... Just find a 350z shocks and springs setup like I did...No need to worry about anything.... A word of warning though - u may get complaints from ur Mrs about it..as it is a tad bumpy on mine. Not noticeable to us, but seems noticebale for passengers....LOL.. Since I got heaps of tread left and wanna change to bigger rims ASAP, i didn't bother with wheel alignment also.
  23. Hehehe.... 4300k sucks....LOL...(just to tease u)...Agree with 4300k emitting more light.... I know where u r coming from with respect to the ricer feel...Some 'ricer's do up their cars nicely, while others r try-hards...(e.g. I saw some jap car with blue haze lights on the freeway at nite and the idiot; thinking he was cool; didn't have his headlights turned on. How wannabe-tryhard is that????) Anyway, back to the topic, I'll personally go 6000k, nice and white (and just getting into the blue)....Anything above 6000k is fugly i must say...(And also attracts the boys in blue)... My factory 4300k HID is going to be for sale soon as I find it not 'white' enough...I am going to 6000k HID D2Rs for low beams and 6000k HID H4 for hi/lo beams...When I get some time...
