willo youd be better booking a ryokan yourself seperately id imagine. They are a whole different `japanese experience` compared to a normal hotel which way are you going? narita airport-> keseifunabashi-> funabashi-> tokyo station = 1,100円（central tokyoish), 67.4km however if you wanna take the skyliner to ueno and then the yamanote line.. its gonna be a bit more, but a lot easier ill go to bed now

be sure to check out the maid cafes if your in akihabara. Also akihabara isnt always the cheapest for electronic goods. but it is a great place to go on a trip to Japan

well this time of year in Hokkaido is the annual snow festival. this year was the 58th one. Theres never been a mention/ thread about this before on this site so i thought I do the Japan section a favour and make a non related car thread about Japan. Since living in Japan every year Ive said I would go to see this festival. This year I finally did. It was pretty cool. Lots of giant snow men, lots of Giant ice carvings some of which were bigger than houses. It was absolutely awesome. Some of the pieces were unbelievable. Please excuse the quality of the photos. I forgot to take my camera. A lot of the carvings were melting. however it was a constant -2.6 degrees the whole time.
