I remember reading an article in HPI about R33 N1s - saying many of the original cars don't have the plates as they are often stolen and put onto other 'normal' GTRs for them to be sold at a higher price as an N1 - dodgy.

President Carlos Ghosn escaped unharmed after he crashed his Porsche into a motorbike in downtown Tokyo, police said. Didn't MCCR go with the defect theme last year? Mind you... Do we really want to make a point of 'being defected'? Maybe it's just me but I hate having that thing on my car. Makes people thing there is something wrong with the car and/or the driver. Kind of a negative 'flaunt the law' attitude. Perhaps I'm over sensitive about it... I just think we could come up with something more positive. Just my 2c Maybe a race theme? Ron and Greg (KPGC10 guys) have a Gibson R31 race car - and are keen to have it on the stand...

Very good to see this thread degrade in just 2 days! Excellent Anyone got any theme ideas? I like Snow's Godzilla plan - see if we can rent a suit I have all the PS2 link hardware from last year if we want to do that again. Having a PC to show the website is an excellent idea - might be worth a wardrive to see if there's some wireless bandwidth we can poach! Would be great to have some floor-coverings and fences this year (although driving around the city stealing witches hats at 2.00am was kinda fun) - something cheap and easy. I can investigate staging rental costs also - it would be great to have some plasmas showing event footage etc - so maybe it could be good to look into some support/sponsorship possibilities? T-Shirt slogan ideas? Ni's avatar 'It's all about the lights' isn't bad, 'teh GTR can nevar loose', 'you drive skyrine?' - we can go crazy

Not saying we need to drop everything and start planning today, but it's on the 3rd-4th April this year. There is a second 'semi-final' in September also. Time to start thinking of ideas...

I'd say cueball in the pix was the driver (that's if Capt MCCR is telling truth). He's looking upset. Would also extend hypothesis to old farmer Joe just towed them out with his ute, muttering something about damm kids, never did that in my day etc

Sad to see another R33-tree hybrid. Very pleased (and surprised) to see the thread comments from other MCCR members mirror our feelings. Pity the stupid actions of a few affect everyone else.

I didn't think anyone was compliancing 34 R's yet. Some story about GTT and GTR having to be done as separate vehicles? Come to think of it - didn't know anyone was doing 34 GTTs yet either...

Spoke to the people involved - an investigation is pending. They are checking the security tapes to see if the car was where it was supposed to be. Nutshell - possible Ferris Bueller by valet at major chain establishment. Don't want to name names as I'm not 100% and have no proof (as yet). Citylink records are not available until 24hrs after the trip - so can't check if it went down the freeway until tomorrow.

Inasnt: Yeah - something like that. Don't think it was driven in reverse though Snow: Bad luck runs in 3's or 4's or something. I think I've had my go for a while though. It's getting a little silly now... Perhaps I noted the trip-meter incorrectly, perhaps I didn't. I'll have a word to the parties involved and see what they say - just wanted to see if I could back up my suspicions with some evidence. Thanks for your help

No... only that the trip-meter seemed to add 45km while it should have been parked... Nothing confirmed - just highly suspicious at this stage

JimX: Oooh yeah. Keeping the webbers in tune is a sh*t. That's why I don't tend to bother most of the time - it's not really going to make that much difference on the Niva

My Lada has twin side-draft webbers! I can feel the power from here. Runs a 0-400 in about a minute or so... Sounds tough though
