  1. Sorry to hear - seems lots of us having to deal with the hasstle of this lately My current problem is finding a good-condition aribag GTR wheel to replace the Momo with, then finding someone to swap them over. I'm scared of setting off the airbag. Seen a couple - but they didn't have the bags in them. No point to put in on the car then. A friend has one, but left for Japan for 2-weeks yesterday - by which time my defect will have expired. Such a pain - I'm a busy guy. Haven't got time for this crap
  2. I see it as a conversational misunderstanding... dealer: you have to run it down before you park it (ie: cool turbos) stupid guy: what, like down a hill? dealer: *sigh* yeah, yeah... like that
  3. Re: 3/4 of rev range... Do they take this from the tacho? If so - they're going to test me at 7500rpm! That's just a little unfair as I NEVER go that hard in suburbia - hell, I'm speeding in reverse at 7500! Also - nearly finished my letter of complaint. The 'excessive' noise thing is a beauty. My car may be louder than a Daewoo - but it sure isn't excessive.
  4. Waah Waah - uni is hard. Boo hoo - I have homework. We all had to work summer jobs and then part-time semester jobs when at uni - you're not the first. Uni is a blast. You'll meet great people, drink heaps of beer, sleep with some great chicks - enjoy it! Make the most of it now - the real world is not the 'leave at 5, never on weekends' utopia some make it out to be. Hell - I'm at work right now And despite popular theory - I don't spend ALL my time whoring forums
  5. Tried - but it got bounced due to size. Another email option?

Glad to see you're OK Greg. Is OK - NS-2500 will ride again.
  7. If he wants to pull 11s in a riced EG Civic Coupe - or that Veilside Hyundai... Better cut down on the burgers fella - you gonna need some weight reduction.
  8. Looks to be about 35cm at its widest point. Momo states it as 350mm Product info here: https://www.autotek.com.au/shoponline/produ...play&merchID=18
  9. Six - yes. Is in excellent condition. Looks new. Benm - D'oh...
  10. Lovely wheel. Turns well. Currently on an R33 GTR - so it has all the HICAS mounting stuff... $400 all up... Or will swap for immaculate series 2 (blue stitch) R33 GTR factory wheel with airbag intact, and case of beer. Excellent condition Looks like...
  11. A VSpec 34 here in Melb had factory-option leather seats. Was rather nice HKS-34
  12. Is that the same colour as the lovely VSpec that became RH10.81?
  13. Jeeze. Jet - You are a very lucky guy to be alive. Wonder if my owners manual is still in the glove box...

  18. re: Nachos: This will explain all
  19. Cool - I shall sleep easier Thanks very much for your help.
  20. I received a 'noise' one today - and am expecting an 'emissions' one very soon. Noise was TMU on Chapel on my way home from Coles - didn't stop me but I guess they don't have to. The other was a defect inspection at a booze bus. Cop said as I have the AVCR he has to send me to the EPA... so I guess it is just the standard Macleod one. Pretty annoyed about the whole thing - been a bad week.
  21. Thanks guys. Dox: Turbos are stock - so they'll be OK. Troy: Like they say, sneakiness is next to godliness... but in my case would I still have to remove all the AVCR hardware - both in-car and under-bonnet?
  22. Having gone through a thread populated with comments from Whistla and Pred (thanks boyos) - I think I know what I need to do... but I have a few uncertain bits. Cat: Perhaps I should get one? - no more flames Exhaust: According to Fujitsubo - it meets Jasma compliance at 95dB. Is this too close? ECU: Mr PFC has to come out Asked Jack to borrow a stock one. Pods: HKS twins - caged but not covered. Cop who did defect said they OK. Are they? FMIC: R33 N1 item - factory option. Rest of piping is stock. The queries: AVCR: Do I have to remove it? Or can I run stock boost and be OK? If I have to remove... how much do I take out? O2 sensors: Dr Drift suggested these might be stuffed - hence my aircraft carrier style fuel consumption - will they affect the emission test? My thinking says yes... Thanks in advance for help
  23. Yes indeedy. Will bring Miss Louise along too.
