  5. Yeh mountain biking too... but the sierra is a bit small, and the wrangler has a 4 litre 6 six cylinder although its a bit of an old design; 4.0L In-line overhead valve 6-cylinder Fuel System Sequential multipoint Electronic Fuel Injection Power (kW @ rpm) 130 @ 4,600 Torque (Nm @ rpm) 296 @ 3,500 Compression ratio 8.75:1 Capa have a bolt on supercharger kit for $6000!! :ak47:
  6. 29.....and no family stuff ;p if thats what your getting at... the wrangler is cause i might do some 4wd driving around oz... but i cant decide
  7. :bonk: My skyline has served me well, but it looks like after six years it will be sold by the weekend.......... Im just tossing up what to get now? I dont think anything is going to fill the void. The top of the list so far is a Jeep Wrangler! But yeh i still have no idea... any suggestions? i have anywhere from $20k-30k to spend... i will go back to skylines (r34 gtt probably one day), but right now i cant decide... am i mad ? :headspin:
  8. ah yes...brain fade more positive offset pushes centre hub outwards which pulls rim in...
  9. !!!!GFB BOV for sale ...click here!!!!
  10. ps. i didnt have any problems with this bov causing stalling on my car...
  11. As new Go Fast Bits blow off valve, with RB20 adaptor pipe that connects to stock bov location. Mach 1 model. Comes with all clamps and vaccuum lines. $150 no offers (RRP is over $300 with the adaptor)
  12. a positive offset pushes the tyres further out, so if its rubbing on the inside the offset should be larger... or have i got this mixed up?
  13. hmmm thats wierd i had 17x8inch with +38 offset at front with 235's and they didnt rub...but different brand tyres can have have slightly different widths... but yeh it was tight maybe 3mm gap between upper arm and inside of tyre why are you braking hard while turning tight corners ;p (brake before the corner :headspin: :headspin: )
  14. with my old 17's i had the following offsets; front 8inch wide +38 rear 9inch wide +45 cheers, walter
  15. i just tried out a GFB blow off valve on my R32 running r34 turbo and 14psi.... its the mach1 the loudest they make, its an instant defect but sounds cool in tunnels i cant hear the exhaust with this thing on you can change gears without it going off though if you have to (lifting off slowly).... but in terms of performance it does jack all! if anything the turbo was taking longer to spool up within 3000-4000rpm, the turbo feels like it kicks in harder but thats only because theres more lag in the mid range, and no theres nothing wrong with it...its almost brand new i think the stock bov, does keep the turbo spinning faster with the small leak which causes it to spool up quicker when you accelerate, the size of the hole on the stock valve i dont think is going to cause much of a leak at 14psi (maybe 0.5 - 1psi), but then my boost controller would compensate and still keep it at 14psi... in my opinion save your money, nissan designed it well....unless you have massive turbo with big boost.... again this is my opinion...but yeh 2 days later im back to stock bov  soon up for sale, GFB mach1 blow off valve as new with rb20 adaptor pipe that connects to stock bov location $150 an aside: i didnt have any issues with stalling etc, with this atmo venting valve on my car... !!!!GFB bov for sale ...click here!!!!
  16. regardless, even if you are a careful driver with 3rd party only you'll take less chances simple as that ;p :flamed: the company car is a lot faster than my skyline but it has less power figure that out..... its all about risk and personal cost.... thats what insurance is.... im self insured (3rd party) on the skyline because the cost of me having an accident and having to fix my car is less than fully comprehensive in the long run... um another factor is i drive once a week too :Bang:
  17. i just meant leave bigger gaps and stay away from other cars like you do on a motorbike ;p do you guys get tailgaters? i get them all the time...usually corolla twin cams!! or 4wds on the m5 its so bad i have considered wiring up my reverse lights to a switch !
  18. i have 3rd party only on the r32, it just wasnt worth it in my view for the value of my car for fully comprehensive, $2000 per year + $1000 excess plus nrma 3rd party has uninsured motorists extension up to $5000 if you get hit by someone without insurance the trade off, you have to drive sensibly/alert so as to not cause an accident, and not covered for theft, so wont leave my car anywhere remotely dodgy...any carpark... although if you cant afford to buy another car if you have an at fault accident, then you should probably have full insurance...
  19. hmmm maybe 18 year old girls :aroused:
  20. for sale...click link http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=25751
  21. things i have HAD to fix over the years.... - rust in both rear guards, easy to spot, and was pretty easy fix, just starting, rust proofed the thing while i was at it the cause...years of lights leaking water into boot (lights are siliconed on now) - replaced rusted catback exhaust - rear window rubber seals replaced - replaced shocks - climate control sensors playing up (i bypassed them, so air conditioning works without them) this is in 6 years of driving... cant complain... yeh easy to hit the roof in the back seat ;p oh and still have figured out why the drivers side headlight occasionally needs a tap to come on...or a speed hump if im lazy...
  22. I have had 9inch on the back and 8inch on the front. The tyres were 255 at rear and 235 at front, personally i think these are the maximum tyre sizes leaving enough clearance to avoid rubbing with unrolled guards. But the offsets have to be exactly right!! You can get wider using more camber, but i kinda think this is stupid because the camber is reducing the tyre contact on the road... I have gone back to 225 all round with better quality performance tyres and there is heaps more grip now...if your issue is traction rather than looks the tyre model is more important than the size (and i wont even talk about the rain with 255s)
  23. 60,000kms on an r32....is unlikely! but not impossible :headspin: could be bad contact with spark plug wiring loom, a faulty coil pack, spark amplifier... id be checking those things if it happens again, as well as the spark plugs while your at it
