  1. Just in the process of sourcing out whiteline swaybars for the rearend.
  2. So I've been reading a lot in the suspension thread and the majority here had lowered their cars with coilovers but very little when it comes to lowered springs. So my question is, putting a lowered spring but retaining the standard shocks how long before all the supporting components starts wearing out prematurely? Tires, bushes, shocks etc etc. Also I've read that ARX had HICAS and a slightly higher suspension set-up and some suggested against lowering them. My car wont be use as a track car, but I want to slightly lower it to stop that titanic feeling when cornering. Wheel alignment will be done after lowering it too. Need constructive feedback on this topic. Cheers
  3. I got exactly the same email from Michael. Is it really worth it to converting the navi into English? I don't really use the screen much only for reversing and front camera.
  4. I guess it depends on how you want to lower it, I've noticed here they seems to go coilovers rather than changing springs. Personally I want to go coilovers but, the car has to be certified afterwards so the costs escalate. The majority of sellers on TradeMe seems to recommend JAMEX lowering springs, due to limited options availability for M/PNM35 when it comes to springs???? can someone prove them wrong.
  5. Welcome. That's a good buy for that price. Any future mods to it? what part of Nz are you? Very helpful site if you want info in regards to Stagea's.
  6. Does anyone here had experience with Jamex Super Lows Springs? I read alot of conflicting reviews about them. Are they any good? or just waste of money.
  7. Hi Chris, Sorry to drag up old thread, but can you still remember details or any info in regards to RSR springs? would these springs suits an ARX? cheers
  8. Doing a trial fit of my new dvd player, but couldn't make up my mind where to put it! It such a big car but no appropriate place to mount it.
  9. Thats a PNM35, i dont think its arx, it looks like axis to me and whats with the badging overload?
  10. Ah! that make sense thanks guys for your input. Nothing is simple anymore with this car lol. I just added a pair of monitor built in the headrests and looking at where to mount the new dvd. It looks like the cargo hold maybe the only place to put it.
  11. Thanks Brad, but is the tv tuner independent from the dvd rom? I need to remove it in place for the new dvd player. I got nowhere else to put it.
  12. Can anyone tell me how to remove the navigation unit out. I've search everywhere here but could not find a thread on how to remove it. I got far as removing the glovebox out and the surrounding lower trims but the front lid and plastic surrounds seems to be all attached to the side vents. I dont want to break any plastic trim. Im replacing the unit with an aftermarket dvd player and keeping the old unit if I ever sell the car again. Any help appreciated thanks.
  13. Thanks Loh, Well I got my car from Paul Kelly in Moorehouse Ave and they are very good to me. Although I was told that no more Stageas are coming in to NZ???? but in saying that Russell Taylor in Ferry Rd seems to be still importing them. Anyone here replaced their suspension with coilovers for pnm35's? Im sort of heading that way or just changing the springs to lower the car a bit, but reluctant due to quake damaged road and the jarring effect of it. Any opinions?
  14. Hey Guys, Didn't know there's a thread here for Nzer. Well Im from Chc and own a pnm35, saw a few Stagea's here but mostly driven by middle aged men lol. How is everybody?
  15. Hi Rudi, yes big difference compare with the standard single pot calipers. Rears are standard atmo.
  16. Woohoo got my r34 calipers and rotors fitted on finally. As per some members described, the banjo fittings of the stagea wont screw in properly inside the r34 calipers and suggestions is to remove the olives inside the caliper. We didnt ended up doing this. We drilled the banjo fitting ENDS to TAPER and screw it in nicely(see pic). Also ended up not cutting the dust shields or grinding the steering knuckles, instead fitted a 3mm SLIP-ON spacers between the hub and the rotors which gave us a nice gap in between, washers with the same thickness was used to spaced the calipers and between the mounting lugs. Took it for a test drive and overall braking performance is now way better than the standard single pot calipers.
  17. Finally fitted my r34gtt calipers and rotors to my stagea.
  18. Hmmm what a great idea
  19. Yip very happy with it. Calipers getting painted this weekend and rotors are getting skimmed this coming week to remove rust. Decided to go for new set of wheels because Im not comfortable with wheels spacers. Suspension height will remain standard, as our roads still badly damaged from the quake 2 yrs ago! Cant wait next weekend to bolt it all together now
  20. Ok everything coming together now for the conversion..just a teaser photos.
  21. Cool, I like it. Nice job.
  22. I have done this before. I mounted the camera on the lower part of tailgate, and ran the cables from the hatch all the way up to the tv tuner. Its fiddly but not impossible.
  23. Oh that look good. Is it safe for that canister to be lying sideways?
  24. THANKS I WILL...END OF TOPIC!
  25. Hey Guys, Im sure its been discussed before somewhere here, but anyhow. Im looking at updating my factory alloys to an aftermarket type. Looking at going 19" with a 45 low profiles. Would I encounter any problem with the 4WD system? and also the speedometer accuracy issues? Please give me your opinion/advise cheers.
