I'd have to agree with a V8/Turbo/Rotary ban for anyone not on their full unrestricted licence or under 22 (21 is too much of a stupid alcoholic year). Alot of you guys are taking the emotional ground thou, being directly effected would hurt if they do bring in the rules. But seriously, its pretty sensible. Proof is too ask the holders of unrestricted motorcycle licences and ask them if their power restrictions for P platers work....

We'll there not really the cars fault are they ? I'd hope you'd only paid for the timing belt work and nothing more too. On the WRX note. I'm in a similar position. Coming from a R33GTS-t to a R32GTR or MY01/02 WRX. Sure the GTR has the arua, history and all that sort of stuff, but as everyones mentioned, their high on premium of owning one. Insurance, maintaince the whole deal. The WRX, althou mass produced more then the GTR, is still a legend. I don't think (and I've just got over it) its a good move to buy a car because of street cred, and "potential" performance. The MY01/02 WRX's are hovering around 26-30k, and its only 3-4 years old. And we all know that the twisty's is where all the fun is, sure RWD is fun, but don't be sucked in to the claim that there's less skill in driving a WRX fast..... A good driver will always make Full Use of the tools provided.

Simple Question. Is it possible to goto the Jap Auctions and pick out your own 1989 GTR ? Of course I'd expect this to be done with some help from the actual "professional bidder". But can you at least inspect cars and tell the bidder which one you want ? Thanks Andrew

Try some Nulon in your box as well. The crunch is from worn synchros usually (sometimes excess wear can be caused by reckless shifting and leaning on the gearstick while driving...especailly 4th and 5th gear {you use these gears to cruise in offen.}). The whining noise is more then likely the input thrust bearing, and is common in R33 Skylines.

I beileve, and I'm trying to remember stuff from when Rubens first started at Ferrari that the reason he doesn't left foot brake is he actually (or maybe used to) use the clutch in some corners...It was some werid reason like that. No. You can't. Theres no way you can actually get a car engineered with a programmable ECU, you can get it passed via the test, but still what stops you changing the settings after you have passed. Its a risk if you run a aftermarket ECU/Boost controller/Aftermarket turbos etc etc etc......

How about an RX7 instead Nah....depends what you want it for, I'm no expert in the 350's specs/ etc etc.....but maybe the 350 would make a great cruiser, and the sti as greater track attacker/thrasher. with all the cops around lately, I'd get a camry

thats true, but the 3rd fastest lap of the race went to Webber...That must mean the package, driver included is strong...

I rekon James has done his dash. He crashes out too much. Haven't heard too much on Ryan Briscoe for a while. I know his still under the Toyota Young Driver Program...I think ?
