  1. Spend a max of 5 grand on a manual R31 and limited mods, and drive that for a couple of years. Solid car, quick enough to be some fun and not too bad down the twisties. They're well equipped and reasonably cheap to insure. Bank the rest of your money Have fun and learn in that, THEN step up to a turbo R33 If you really want to get a R33 or R32 turbo now instead, ask yourself why you want it... if its because they're fast, you'll probably crash it. If its because you can then be a l33t drifter, you'll probably crash it. If its to impress your mates, grow up. Actually, I can't think of any good reasons to get one... you'll get reamed by insurance, picked on by cops, and there is always the possibility that you'll run out of road. I could have gotten my car years ago, but I waited until I knew I was responsible enough to handle it... went through a heap of other cars (some quick, some not, but all with redeeming qualities) then got the 'line I'd always wanted. Because I like the way it looks, its heritage, and it will be fun at mallala when I get the time to start sprinting again.
  2. They reckon it has just as much potential as the silver top on the R31 Board though, and at least its an ECCS and not a NICS
  3. Red top or Silver Top?
  4. So no photos of the red seats with the patches on them ? I cgaf what you do it, its your car, I just like the standard style front (with a bit of fiddling as discussed in PMs and I really like ths sound of the L series I only got the RSX beacuse it was faster than the plain HR30 coupe I was also looking at I'd buy Sams PNV if I could sell my other car because its a REALLY clean coupe, interior is perfect as, full white (not two tone). To me it would just need some more lowering, different wheels, a 3 slat grille and some spoiler under the front bumper to be a really cool daily driver I'm about 2cm shorter and I agree it would be hard to fit in with a helmet (whole bloody car is built for little Japanese people), so I've bought a Recaro for mine (plus the standard bolsters are shiit) but am yet to fit it
  5. The Paul Newman interior is sweet too, much nicer looking than the normal one I think Ghostrider meant any other R30 coupe Do you have any interior pics Ghostrider? I'd love to see what the red PNV interior is like
  6. Nothing really, its your car. I'm just being a bastard And I would NEVER put a disco ball, fluffy dice or a fox tail on a car Well... maybe a fox tail...
  7. You're the one putting a Tekamon nose on a PNV I was half tempted to put Triumph badges on it... I can see a lot of similarities between the DR and what I think the next evolution of the TR series would have been like Independant rear Good brakes for the time Innovative fuel injection No steering feel Reasonably unbreakable engine One of the fastest cars in its class But some nice Datsun badges will do, and a Pintara badge for the bootlid just to confuse people lol
  8. I'm gonna put Datsun and Pintara badges on my car
  9. rsx84 yeah I was going to find some nice Datsun badges for mine
  10. Shannons certainly do insure cars over 15 years old... 10.7L/100km on my last tank
  11. R30 - L20ET, FJ20ET, FJ20ET (Intercooled)
  12. Same with mine
  13. Start watching WRC highlights on tv..... Then you'll like long shifters and it won't cost you a cent
  14. Crimmo, can I come see your car some time?
  15. Yeah, its behind the arch on R31's, I'm not the one that said that was a '31 indicator though
  16. The indicator in front of the guard. Thats what we were referring to, not the flares. I DO want the flares though, and I will get them eventually
  17. could be and probably is.... but I thought the ones on my 31 were longer? I *think* Z32 or one of the Zeds had a similar shape but smaller? Some of the 31 guys put the clear Z32 ones on their cars
  18. Yeah... I reckon the R31 ones are longer though? Deep dished Longchamps.... mmmm
  19. http://r30map.zive.net/~userjun/r30meeting...image312163.jpg Tooooouuuughhhhhhhhhh
  20. Hadnt noticed this before http://babelfish.altavista.com/babelfish/u...2003%2Ftop2.htm "Change in the **** long chart Ueno which participated comparatively" Gotta love the translations lol
  21. Ghostrider, that bar you posted is the same as my car has I think Same as this one? http://r30map.zive.net/~userjun/r30meeting...003/image76.jpg This car is quite similar to what mine was like when it was imported... mine also had the HUGE wing, but no cage, and its white I used to like the Ironmask front, but I think it looks silly from any angle except about 45 degrees. The MR30 style front can look tougher I think, but only if it's done right Gonna go check if my bar is the same now ************ Yep, thats my bar. One piece glass. Wouldnt mind seeing a pic of that bar with a standard front
  22. Thats a F***ing wicked site http://r30map.zive.net/~userjun/r30meeting...o06image319.jpg How tough is that.... I'd love to find a copy of the series online sometime http://r30map.zive.net/~userjun/r30meeting...3/26image31.jpg Have a goood look at that one....
