Where and how much?
-
Like yours and mine, the strange looking one
-
You put a Tekamon front on a Paul Newman :uhh:
-
Sorry I meant the black interior with the grey/silver inserts. I've never seen one (or pics) with the red insert interior (or any exterior colour other than white for that matter... do you have pics of yours ) I picked up a Recaro for mine today at Jaustech, its a bit thrashed out but had the most aggressive bolsters of all their seats. Also got a GReddy adjustable overboost valve I need to get the rails done for the seat though I take it noone has replaced the bushes in their block to strut tower brace?????? btw Ghostrider... do you have two coupes?
-
I thought all Paul newmans had the grey/silver and black interior?
-
It also has DR30's in it
-
I got 11.5L/100KM on my last tank, and thats with hills thrashing every day
-
Mick I've got a 180,000km RB30E sitting in the shed, was out of my R31 TI. Also have the computer and the auto box and computer that went with it. Runs well (well, it did before I took it out of the car...) Took it out cos I found one for $450 that had had the hydraulic lifters replaced, and mine was starting to tick a bit (then when I took it out found out that the exhaust manifold studs were broken, as were the ones on the new engine, and the new engine ticked too... waste of a grand) $300 ono if you want it, its in Adelaide

R34 GT-T owners, insurance quote...
Adam_RSX replied to SS8_Gohan's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Ive had a number of problems insuring JDM Charades with Just Cars, I ALWAYS have to wait ages on the phone, they wanted written confirmation of my insurance history (never had a claim, had 5+ years insurance on many different cars), they wouldnt insure the car until they had seen it in the metal (both the DR30 and my G201 Detomaso), they wouldnt quote on the DR30 until they had the engine and chassis numbers, and even then they put the wrong model down on the quote. The Just Cars quote I got was on a Rating One and was a couple of hundred more expensive for the premium, aswell as lower agreed value, higher excess than the Rating TWO Shannons quote (they have slightly different systems for working out the rating)... and my Shannons cover will be cheaper from next month... because I pay quarterly they change the price to the lower Rating One price 3 months in to the insurance contract. Whats dodgy or silly about owning a nice car aswell thats much nicer to drive than the Skyline? The $90 classic rego is on that, not the Skyline... You couldnt put the Skyline on that scheme anyway. I'd trust the paint and panel shops that Shannons use far in preference to what Just Cars/AAMI use. AAMI are known for delaying paying out aswell... Anyway, who cares, I got a much better deal with Shannons than Just cars would give me, and I'm saving money while giving business to a company that has given me much better customer service -
Theres only one Paul Newman in SA, Ivan said when he was selling his last year that there were only 3 in Australia Where was this one advertised and how much?

Yeah, I've never seen or heard of a 4 door PN

R34 GT-T owners, insurance quote...
Adam_RSX replied to SS8_Gohan's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Shannons are always great to deal with I've found, Just Cars have always been absolute tools though I already had the car, so that didnt cost me anything, classic rego is $90 a year and comprehensive on the $4000 Triumph is $200 and something. DR30 is $760 comprehensive on Rating 2 (few hundred cheaper than JC), agreed value is a couple of grand more, dont HAVE to have an alarm, excess is a few hundred less, wheels, exhaust, suspension are declared. And the Just Cars quote was on a Rating One... and my Shannons rating goes to One in a month, so will become cheaper again. Plus I pay quarterly, AND you can actually get through on the phone without waiting 20 minutes And they don't make you drive it uninsured to an inspection office on THE busiest road in the city before they will agree to insure it. Plus you dont need to get written confirmation of previous insurance history, and dont need to leave the office to get engine or chassis numbers when u ring for a quote. And they're not completely clueless either. Plus I'd trust them with their recomended paint shops since they've been insuring classics for years -
L20ET's sound very nice with an exhaust

Buy a cheap Mini or Triumph or something, insure it with Shannons. Then get a quote on combining your classic insurance with your Skyline. It was heaps cheaper for me to insure my car with Shannons this way than to go with Just C***s -
Buy it It will cost sfa to get going ok I think And if it ends up being a junker I'd buy the interior off you
-
Oldskool, is it a 2 door or a 4 door? It would have to be a wiring problem I think
-
I *think* Crimmo has done this
-
Fun arent they I drive mine the looooong way to uni, go up through and across the hills instead of just cutting across town.. only takes 5 minutes longer, and its a hell of a lot more fun :evil

Planning to get an import R31
Adam_RSX replied to mickah_2002's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Yeah I'd go a GTS-X and mod it rather than a GTS-R. They were a homologation special, so its just all the biggest bits they thought they might want to use for racing, which doesnt mean it will work well as a road car -
very smick looking r33...wot ureakon?
Adam_RSX replied to !3oost's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
The legalities... what like the fact that its pretty much illegal and if they can prove that you have been driving more than your nominated share then they will decline your claim... Great idea -

GTS-X or GTS... no GTS-t You'd be mad to pay either of those prices... GTS 2 doors and GTS-X's seem to sell for around 8 now... and DR30's are either really cheap or really expensive, but I can only see them rising.. they shouldnt fall any more -
I was gonna say have a look at these and see if theres a 4 door Paul Newman.... but after trawling back to find the link... you posted it lol http://www.carshop-omote.com/museum.html

I've only ever seen 2 doors I'm sure I've seen and heard people say that they had 200hp stock though

Cars need to be 30 years old before you can register them as LHD in Australia
