  1. Well since you let the coils dry, why not get a set of cheaper copper plugs for now and give it a go?
  2. I know the theoretical difference between pull and push type clutches, but what are the practical reasons and implications for doing so? Why would someone opt to convert to push type?
  3. Out of curiosity, what kind of tires were they?
  4. Even if they put them on tonight, do they look safe to you? They sure don't to me. That's the thing with 2nd hand tyres, you really need to be careful. Personally I wouldn't drive much longer with those on. If that damages was done in a week, whats going to happen to them after a month?
  5. Yeah I wouldn't wait for that to bubble or get any worse mate. Replace them asap
  6. I've never dealt with amayama before, are they any good? Do people recommend them?
  7. As an aside, big decals and stickers ruin the look of the car and as such I would urge you not to get one, or not, it's your car
  8. I'm assuming that when u washed ur engine bay u wrapped all wires and ignition sources etc, if not, there's a note to self. You can get a set of yellow jackets (coil packs) for about $400 or a set from justjap for the same price. I used justjap coils a while ago for 11psi no problems
  9. How exactly did you "wash" your engine bay? Do what superben suggested and let your coil packs dry. If you have plugs on the way then you may as well replace them and yes they and the coil packs are very easy to do (there are tutorials on web....many of them). And raising boost to 14psi with no decent intercooler and better fuel pump sounds very silly and dangerous to me.
  10. Mount a mechanical sex toy that pops up and hits ppl in the face every time anyone opens the bonet. That ought to make/keep things interesting
  11. Cheers man, and obviously when water starts coming out you just tighten it back up by hand?
  12. Do rusty nuts and bolts and foregin currency coins in the spare wheel well count?
  13. Could the fuel pressure regulator have anything to do with it? check this link out man, different car but might be helpful. The diagnosis on there was that the pump is wired up to a permanent live (whatever that means) http://www.classicroverforum.net/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=9562&start=0 let us know how you go Cheers A
  14. Hey man, So do you mean keep running the car with rad cap off untill the water is at operating temp? Would the coolant not go everywhere? Also, the bleed screw is the little plastic one next to the radiator, correct? How do you know that there is no more air in it, does water start coming out at that point? Also, i was reading about radiator flush etc a while ago and I remember people saying something about turning the heater on etc when bleeding I cant remember for sure, does that have anything to do with it? Cheers A
  15. Bahahahahah that is hillarious. Its the same here in Perth except by the 3rd night your car has been torched.....
  16. Hahahahahha I did mate I did. One thing I did not understand, is that when you log certain parameters you will be notified when there has been a breach as such but that would be too late. I couldnt ascertain whether datalogging allows you to monitor temps etc continuously, is that the case?
  17. WOW!!!! SUCH A COOL RESPONSE!!!! You sure are super, superben.
  18. can someone explain data logging to me? Cheers
  19. Not sure why people insist on using their cars as if they are a teenager's bedroom wall and decide to stick all types of s**t on them. Who knows ....
  20. I see. It just clicked that when people say dash they actually mean dash as in hyphen. So althgouh GTRs dont have dash turbos; dash 7,9,5,10 are compatible with any RB26?
  21. Wow thats such an Archer-like response. Thanks dude
  22. Oh i see. so a dash 9 is 2860-9. Bigger number = bigger compressor?? So what size is the r32 GTR size?
  23. None of these questions are applicable to me mate. I wanted general advice on what Dash # meant, that is all.
  24. Did a little search - no result. I have been reading and people refer to "Dash 5/7/9" turbos. What does this mean? Is it the relevant size of a turbo? What does "dash" mean? And how do you know what size a Dash 7 turbo for example equates to (2860? etc etc) Cheers
  25. Pen island looks like a great holiday destination ahahahahhaha
