  1. Alright guys need a confirmation on Motul RBF600. It seems that some of the guys with 33 GTS-t use it. I bought some but realised that on the bottle it says its DOT4 but on my brake fluid reservoir it says to only use DOT3. Can anyone confirm that its ok/or not to use rbf600 in my 1997 r33? Cheers Amir
  2. Got a few things done today. Picked up the tires from the guys at Wheels World. Chose Yokohama AD08R; not quite and R Comp tire but I think they will be suitable for entry level racing. Got them fitted on the rims and fitted them to the car. Also tweeked the ride height and it now sits a bit lower and quite flat from front to back. My brother in law also installed the intercooler and did the necessary modification (AKA Hacking away) for the reo and bumper. Also finished stripping out most of the sound deadening on both driver and passenger sides. All that remain are the vertical tricky bits which I will have to find out how to do. If anyone has any idea on this please let me know. Next on the list is sorting out a few things for the brakes. We bought high boiling temp brake fluid but now im wondering whether it will work on my car. Bought Motul RBF600 which is a DOT4 fluid but the skyline is DOT3. Does anyone know if this fluid is suitable for the R33? Will also be looking at sorting out the brake ducts within the next couple of weeks and getting braided brake lines. Will take better pictures of the whole car tomorrow Stay tuned, Cheers Amir
  3. That's too bad man, hope you get it all sorted out soon. Cheers Amir
  4. Thanks much Amir
  5. Hey guys, forgive me if this has been canvassed before but couldn't find any threads specifically addressing the issue. Did a bit or research re alloy intake pipes and it seems that the main benefit is when you are running big(ger) turbo or more boost, the rubber ones tend to get "sucked in" in that they warp and constrict air flow. 1. are there any other benefits to using these? 2. what sort of boost/turbo/power would you be running before you need to consider one? 3. are the "cheaper" alternatives just as good given that they don’t get as much punishment as some other pipes? Cheers Amir
  6. Not a problem, "just uuh remember me when you wax aiiight!!"
  7. When you say "wrong dash cluster" what do you mean exactly? If its another 32 cluster then there should not be a problem. Even if different model cluster I dont see how it could cause this problem (provided it is fitted right). Try borrowing a mate's cluster or buying a cheap 2nd hand one, swap them and see what happens. Cheers
  8. If your changing oil every 5kms you will find that you probably cannot afford anything else in life except engine oil.
  9. Yeah Its not bad. Hopefuly will have those on by saturday mate. Just cant wait to have the car running so I can do some events and work on it at the same time. Cheers A
  10. Yes, I understand....
  11. Cooler arrived today. Also got news that my tires are here. So plans for this weekend are to fit the cooler, rims and tires, finish stripping the sound deadening and tidy up the wiring inside.
  12. Very nice build mate and good luck. Is it still a stock/unopened motor? Amir
  13. if you have only been starting it and not moving the car then I would also check you brakes. They could seize up after sitting there for a long time. I would bleed the brakes and replace fluids. Drive it easy at first to make sure brakes are functioning well.
  14. ahahahahaha agreed mate. Just want to make sure the parts fit. I have a strong feeling they are the same but want to make sure before I buy the lines. Anyone know for sure? Cheers
  15. Hey guys Did a search on the forum and on the s1 and s2 differences thread but no answer. A forum member is selling HEL braided brake lines of S1 r33. Would they suit S2 r33? Guidance is appreciated guys Cheers
  16. Wicked thanks mate. Will definitely try and pop by Barbagello this Sunday mate cheers
  17. Legend thanks mate. Any chance fo posting up a couple of pictures of how you tied it to the hub? The pictures on p3 dont make it clear. Do you do the no limits events at barbagello? Cheers
  18. Thanks mate. So no hub adaptors or anything for the duct to sit on? Where did you get the ducts from? Thanks mate
  19. I see what your saying. I was going to mount it vertically but my friend went ahead and did it this way while I was stripping out the sound deadening. There's plenty of clearance but if it becomes an issue I will mount it vertically. Cheers for the input Amir
  20. Forgot to add these....
  21. Did more work on the weekend. Starter stripping out the sound deadener with dry ice, it works really well. Most of the car is done but there are still a few more patches. Also had a friend install the oil cooler which is good. Plans for this week are tires and intercooler. Cheers Amir
  22. Very nice. The camera work is as good as the build
  23. Alright so I just found out my old lady has a pretty good camera so I took some photos of the car as is. Will upload better quality photos as I go. Also got my oil cooler from a forum member, gave it a bit of a degrease and will try fit it on weekend. Cheers Amir
  24. Nice build mate. Very similar route to what Im planning to take so it was good to see. All the best Amir
