  7. One rule I have with spray painting is never shop for the cheapest price or try to haggle the price down. If a job is quoted cheaper by someone it's usually for the reason that they'll cut corners to get the job. The quote you've been given seems reasonable to me

  10. I bought a new March 1974 180B SSS The newer model unfortunately lost out on the cool centre guages (like the 240Z) and about 5 HP. Was a cool metallic blue though. Got it from Duncan motors in Perth (there's now a hotel on that site (Orchard Hotel))
  11. I was working to your budget I referred to it as 240K because for $15k you could get a nice Aussie one for that or less. (If you were patient and lucky) But as Ravenoak mentioned there's no way you'd land a C110 for that much and they're essentially the same car
  12. I wouldn't think so mate but if it's what you like go for it. It can be a painful and expensive experience trust me. I think you'd be better off with a 240K ,DR30 or maybe a Laurel for that money. Funny thing is I'm old enough to remember when the 240K was released in Aust and it was slammed for being ugly :-) How times and taste changes...they look so cool now
  13. Is your friend a Mech for a living? Either he can't read a manual or doesn't know what an adjustible post with locknut looks like...pretty basic stuff. Remove the rocker retaining springs Rotate motor so heal of cam lobe is on the valve rocker arm Undo the 17mm locknut and adjust the post with 14mm spanner. Tighten locknut RECHECK CLEARANCE Refit spring (that way you know which are done) I always loosened the locknut just enough to adjust the post because when you retighten the locknut the clearance can change. I hope above is right (please feel free to correct people)as I haven't touched an L series in 30 years :-)

  17. So I had them changed for King low KDFL-01 in the front & 240Z low KDRL-09 in the rear Just took a couple of pics and this is how she sits now. Hope that helps

  19. I just picked up my DR30 from the suspension shop and it feels great. They fitted some lower springs and wheel aligned the car after the Kings lowered ones they supplied made my car sit higher. Seems they fitted some BMW front springs and 240Z rears I couldn't believe the difference as my car has the std setup but with new Koni's and all bushes/ball joints replaced. Felt the difference immediately so there is no way I'd go RnP now Car sits nice but not too low and has about neg 0.5 degree camber all around Entering a super khana next month so we'll see how she handles

  22. OK thanks One thing that was annoying me was that my car had a few pin dents in the rear guard and tops of the front guards. Just got back from the dentmaster guy and I'm impressed!! Those guys are magicians. Car looks fantastic
  23. Geez I thought I was bad with a DR30,R31GTS2 and R33GTR Skyline fever Love the Ti...very classy with big wheels and no spoilers 'n' crap hanging off it
  24. Can anyone suggest what injectors are interchangeable on the FJ20? Tuner says I've maxed them out @ 220hp
