  1. throw me onto the waiting list paul... i will pay the full amount right now.
  2. mine had threaded pattern that bolted up to the original holes
  3. correct. the angle of the strut makes no difference in double wishbone suspension. sounds like you're being taken for a ride or there's a little miscommunication.
  4. you need to look into the "etc" that you typed... simply put, some people want a hassle free car: - that handles well - looks decent - cheap on fuel & maintenance - isn't prone on blowing turbos & spinning big end bearings. (will most likely never need a rebuild) - relatively low km (compared to aust. delivered cars of the same year) - has slightly more power than the average daily driver - has a wide range of parts available (brakes, turbo, bodykits, suspension parts, etc.) - can still drive to the shops/uni/work and yet be able to take to the track - has potential to be something crazy with all the conversions and parts floating around you might not know, but looking at some of the specs of the cars in this section - there are definitely a few that would give some stock/mild gtsts a run for their money through the motorkhanas, hill climbs, tight tracks and twisties. as cool as it is to make 200rwkw and run low figures down the quarter, some people prefer events where a larger degree of driver input and skill is required. no offense taken... some people just make do with what funds they have available, or they are sure on what they want to achieve. how many people do you see that make 300rwkw, only to find that they hit the local cruise spots? it's the same as asking a gtst owner why they didn't buy a gtr (despite the fact that we all know gtrs are money pits).
  5. would be keen to see if this system gets rid of the raspy'ness... i dont mind the sound under full throttle, as it has the typical M3 type scream - however giving it 20% throttle as it reaches that *point* just makes the car sound sick as a dog.
  6. any progress with this? you used an r33 diff into an r34 correct?
  7. are 33GTS(T) and 34GTT half shafts the same?
  8. did you car have the typical twin cam raspy'ness with the standard exhaust? let us know if this gets rid of it? looks very very nice. money well spent
  9. adapter and brace sold
  10. i already have a set of track rims with 255 tyres, and have some semi slicks in the pipeline as my wallet allows me. thanks for the insight andy - looks like i'll be making some enquires into this diff. some na skylines didn't come with an lsd - so swapping to a vlsd using their standard crown and pinion to maintain their short ratio is an upgrade.
  11. if the muffler is available then that'll be sweet. but if its the full catback then i guess i'd look into it too - just trying to find someone with a sedan so i can compare fitment etc... i'm expecting that i'd have to cut them off at the flange and shorten/twist them accordingly. there doesnt seem to be an off the shelf dual tip item for 33 coupe
  12. reggie, i might be interested in some dual tipped muffler - if they can organize one?
  13. mine's wired there... it's not hard to do.. just follow the wiring diagrams.
  14. maybe its for a turbo timer or something? running the ground wire for the safc down to the ecu and coming back up to the cd player area is too far. why would you do it, let alone bother. apexi manual says not to chassis ground it anyway
  15. i remember that one... had a shark vinyl down the side? 400R front bar? owned by some dude in the army? that was a sweet looking package.
  16. sweet... 1 way seem the go'er then. how are your experiences with aftermarket diffs. in underpowered cars andy?
  17. you're right - it's too good to throw under the car! i think i may have to invest in one of them in future and hack it up to fit the 33! be sure to get some audio happening please!!! mine sounds like an unwell m3!
  18. ahh yes, thanks for that pick up. would 4.3 be the shortest you would go? what are your experiences with after market diffs. and underpowered cars cubes? i've been following the re-shim thread - however the longevity doesn't take my fancy.
  19. yeap... the taller shorter ratio allows for quicker acceleration. basically most products are made for gtst - so all you'd require is to swap the crown & pinion i believe. would it be feasible to go taller shorter again? i guess it'd make highway driving an issue 100km/hr @ ~4000rpm would definitely not be fun
  20. agreed... while i've driven many gtsts and my mate's who has a diff., i was wondering if the lack in power would make the 1/1.5 way diff. somewhat redundant, as it makes the rear end very solid and easily steps out when i want it. it's a little harder in the NA and requires a bit more commitment since i'm set up for traction. you both raise good points with the diff ratios... i'm relatively new to the whole diff. thing (currently reading through some threads over the past few days). i do believe i can use my own crown and pinion to maintain my taller (4.3) ratio?
  21. definitely something i'd consider in the future
  22. as cool as a 1.5 way is, i've been offered a good condition second hand nismo 1 way for a good price. i think the price alone negates the extra incentive for a 1.5 way. interesting read ashley - it certainly re-enforces what i previously knew about differentials. anyone else with any experience?
