What Is Hicas Exactly

Hey guys,

Again, i have asked a few mechanics and import shops what hicas is exactly and no one seems to be able to get the same answer. Could someone please tell me what hicas is exacly. The light on my cluster has started to come on after a little while of driving and i dont want to damage anything if it is a warning light? Unfortunalty no one can tell me exactly what it means?

HICAS is what Nissan call their 4 Wheel Steer system. If your light is on it would be a good idea to take it to a Nissan dealer with the Consult Computer so they can check out what the problem with it is.

do a search for diagnostics as the r33 can tell you whats wrong up to a point, does your steering go heavy when the light comes on?

check powersteering fluid HICAS light will come on when power steering fluid is low
