i told the cops my s-afc was a trip computer! they wouldnt have a clue. it was just the apparent position of it!

atleast i dont have to worry about my car being 2 low.

its just the luck of the draw, while i was waitng for them to write up the paper work about 20 other imports drove past with i am guessing same mods as my car!! But did the cops even look at em NO!

nope he aint lankan, hes white, maybe grand parents lankan.

he had got a few of my other mates 2 around dande area!

he loves to pick on P platers and imports, hes an arrogant **** who is gonna pay!

he should ****ing pay..

haha. he believed that ur s-afc was a trip computer.. hahahahahahaha

maybe they saw the outside of ur car

jap car+exhaust+low+bodykit+custom plates = trouble

also.. they probably thought.. "oh no.. this guys car is faster than our aussie bogandore shitbox, we gotta pull him over"

hmmm...

well.. what can you do..

maybe if you slowed down so much.. that they would have had to pass you...

then they might have left you alone...

after ur telstra mate finds out where he lives..

there might be a few more suggestions about what to do to his house..

but when ur driving away from the scene of the 'crime' use a common car.. like a bogandore or a falcon

Cops are like lawyers these days all they care about is making money off innocent people! And i thought my plates INASNT would of prove to them that i am inasnt! :P

btw.. my grandad was a lawyer...

and he's a WONDERFUL person

all f****n cops r c**kh***s, i hate those stupid f***s with a pasison, and its not just cos of cars and them pickn on us...(mind u they dont pick on v8 holdens which guzzel fuel and spit out pollution) they pick on turbos which suck air!!

anyway, irekn they r the most useless f***s on the face of the planet, not once have i never had an experience where a cop has been helpful, being it stuff being stolen or assault or woteva, but all they ever seem to b doin is fkn car related BULLS**t!

its cos the stupid f***s are being popped out in numbres now and they r 2 damn stupid to do real cop work so they r stuck in booz buses etc..and 4 those cops who r just in traffic management, have a look in the godamn mirror and know ya f***m role!!!

correct me if im wrong but its serve and protect (the publc), not be f***n stupid and dick innocent, hard workin car owners whilst real crooks get away with s**t, and dont F***N tell me its not true cos ive personally been involved in about 3 cases in a few years where nothin has been done about serious crimes, and yet i get dicked for my car when i was drivin at 50KMH......

thats my 2c worth, AND THEN SOME!!!

INASNT, sorry to hear what happen to you. That sucks!!!!

Now that im worry with my BOV.. I thought there are 2 types, one which is illegal and one is legal? anyone know?

I had one on my tail the other day as well... it was a white ss following me until i pulled into a servo for fuel.. luckily he didn't follow me. Seriously, they got nothing better to. There are murders/rapes/theft out there and they aren't preventing it.. rather than picking on us imports.. did they actually search your car left right and centre?

i think plumb-back is legal -> because it doesnt have a noice and it doesnt put out extra air = pollution and noise pollution

vent to atmo is illegal -> opposite of other one..

it makes a noise= noise pollution

it puts out extra air = epa will get u for that one (maybe)

    • This looks great! Awesome to have the 5 speed with an LSD in this. The Recaro's look like SR2's or SR3's. It's a shame they've been retrimmed as they would have looked sweet in their original colours. I think I'd want my agent to be a little more up front and informative too. I've never imported but I reckon it would make me a little nervous, so the more info the better.
    • Thanks for doing that Duncan! Makes you a good person in my books. We don't get kangaroos or wombats here. But we have bats and it's similar. AFAIK it's often the mums with a baby attached that get hit because they drop lower when starting from a tree. If you hit an animal, check on it. https://www.ifaw.org/au/resources/wildlife-rescue-app An app to get the closest wildlife rescue contact.
    • My dream is also to have a proper hoist, but I don't think it will ever happen. My quickjack is probably as close as I'll ever get, it really is very good though.
    • Yeah we keep on in the dailies, it is pretty poor how many animals get hit and the driver leaves without checking....have saved a couple of little ones over the years. Bit of a gruesome job though, pouches generally need to be cut open because they are so tight and often the joey doesn't realise mum is gone so they are still locked onto the teat. I checked the modules in front of the DS wheel where an oil cooler should go.... There is the radar unit - that can go for race use) One of the 2 HX water pumps, the silver cylinder. That needs to be kept but might be able to be relocated But the bad news, the big computer mounted vertically in front of the wheel (blocking any potential air exit) is the electric steering computer. That is required until/unless i do a hydraulic steering conversion, and in CAD based modern car design it is not like I can just pop a big unit like that somewhere else (plus the loom would be too short anywhere else too). So, the passenger side is OK to clear out (just use a smaller washer reservoir, potentially elsewhere), but the DS no beuno
    • Well, all the best with the new camry It was interesting to hear about the UK process, it is generally a lot more streamlined here with a shipping agent looking after all the import side (noting the exact final price can still be a surprise.....) and I've used a few different brokers on the japan (or US) side, and never had any trouble with any of them....luck of the draw I guess. You mentioned you didn't get the auction sheet (understandable since you bought it from a dealer, not auction), but I always try and get hold of that because they are pretty thorough. I've imported 2x R grade vehicles over the years and both were fine, repairs in Japan are pretty thorough compared to here in Oz.
