Are the boxes/trans computers the same as the series 3 R31's?

i have a microtech and it is fine, but I am putting a manual valve body computer in it Friday anyway. offtopic:i get fullboost at 4200rpm with a GT42

.91 housing on a Rb30, 265rwkw on 16psi, 620nm of torque in third, giving it

23-24psi friday, has one of Mikes at MV's trans in it

cheers

darren

I got a set of 6 x nismo 550cc injectors - $950 from nengun. They drop straight in. Remember to get new seals from nissan ($10)

Tuner said they were the best he'd seen, and said that they had an excellent spray pattern.

You can't go wrong with these. Don't f**k around with Sards and collars. You'll regret it.

Has any one got any proof, or experience with changing the standard cat convertor over to a high flow 3 inch.

Just wondering the flow difference between the two.

does it change lag much and or out right grunt?

obviously it will flow a lot better, im just wondering on how much better..

Cheers Darren

one more thing.. hey Sydney kid, you recomended the safc to help the afr, how do they compare to a new ecu? i know there not as powerfull, but are they just as efficient, and or reliable for controlling the fuel?

cheers

    • This is a recipe for disaster* Note: Disaster is relative. The thing that often gets lost in threads like this is what is considered acceptable poke and compromise between what one person considers 'good' looks and what someone else does. The quoted specs would sit absurdly outside the guards with the spacers mentioned and need  REALLY thin tyres and a LOT of camber AND rolling the guards to fit. Some people love this. Some people consider this a ruined car. One thing is for certain though, rolling the guards is pretty much mandatory for any 'good' fitment (of either variety). It is often the difference between any fitment remotely close to the guards. "Not to mention the rears were like a mm from hitting the coilovers." I have a question though - This spec is VERY close to what I was planning to buy relative to the inboard suspension - I have an offset measuring tool on the way to confirm it. When you say "like a mm" do you mean literally 1mm? Or 2mm? Cause that's enough clearance for me in the rear :p I actually found the more limiting factor ISNT the coilover but the actual suspension arms. Did you take a look at how close those were?
