Hey guys, new member here, how are we all?

I'm buying a Series II R33 soonish, and I just wanted to know if there are any things i should look out for in a second hand skyline, other than the usual that you'd look out for in any other second hand car, but was there anything that the Series II R33 had major problems with that I should look out for.

Cheers Guys

Nothing that is a "common problem" as far as I know.

One minor, minor thing though.. the A/C buttons usually don't light up because of dead bulbs. No biggie really.

There is a good thread on what to check for in a turbo car... full of stuff like loading it up, switching it off and then starting it again immediately. Check it out, it's a sticky somewhere.

Oh, and read the sticky at the top of this category called "F.a.q – Maintenance, Guides, And Issues/problems - Model Specific & General. "

Stuff like.. moisture in the tail-light... I guess that is reasonably common for a car of its age.

Cheers guys,

I could be from OCAU RedEmblem, but i don't know what it stands for so I'm not sure :-)

Over Clockers Australia... its the site where you learn how to spend $300 on watercooling for your CPU, to get it's speed up to a processor that would cost you $200 more to buy. =-p

Nah, not me then...

I understand computers about as much as I understand women...

That is that I know how they SHOULD work, and when something goes wrong chances are it's my fault, I don't know how I cause it or how to fix it :-p

R33 GTST series 2 are very reliable. Just use common sense. They are good strong big built cars. Even the ones who have the occassional thrashing hold up well.

If you are happy with it and there are no odd noises or leaks then purchase it at a good price.
