I get about 400-450km per tank around town, I guess between 13 & 15L/100km but on the highway it is much better. I drove from Toowong/Brisbane to Penrith/Sydney in ten hours flat only filling once at Coffs Harbour. It was very close to 10L/100km and to do that distance in ten hours is no nana driving. Very happy with highway economy.

I am getting around 10L per 100km's with mine for daily driving... Which i thought wasn't too bad.. Looking at some other Skylines.. my fuel economy isn't too bad... :)

If the price goes to what you guy's are talking about... I better dust off my little 998cc mini for a while.. Leave the Skyline tucked away in the shed... :uh-huh:

I get about 350 to 450 K's out of a tank of BP Ultimate, ATM it is about 96c-98c/litre in Brisbane (bloody expensive)...

I still boost the same tho, I guess I can't help myself. My clutch is rooted now so I am forced to boost less! $2,000 should last more than 8 months on a button clutch, my bad.

It still hurts tho

You guys think you've got it bad for fuel pricing, at the moment and past I have been paying $1.08/L for 98 RON and thats apparently cheap here.

I think i'll be driving the g/f's Excel around for soon.

I drive R32 with cat-back exhaust. Lately i was getting ~ 20L/100km. Found out, when the guy did the timing belt, the exhaust cam was 1 tooth out. Now there is no idling problem, alot more pickup and boost. I'll let you know how the fuel eccon goes.

I get about 600km to a 65l tank most times, and thats with booting it at every roundabout, lights, stop sign :) I once got 623km...

But not many mods, turbo-back 3" zorst, pod, bov, 11psi.

Funny thing is it's running quite rich with the odd flame out back!

Can i crack 650? lmao.

I feel bad for yall, sorry to rub it in..

My 33 only gets 300-320kms out of every tank, but when I go to fill it, its never fit more than 50-55 litres max into the tank.

On the other hand, my b/f's brother has the same year 33 as me (both identical) and he gets 400-500 kms out of every tank..and he thrashes it everywhere!!! Oh - and he has a fuel light, I've never seen a fuel light come on in mine, doesn't matter how empty I run it!!!!!

My user manual for 93 R33 says 65L fuel tank.

Seems a lot of posts on this have been saying only get "x" amount of Kilometes on a tank and can only put "x" amount of fuel in.

If you don't put 65 Litres in then you have not emptied the tank. Different guages will show emptyat different levels.

I would suggest that to check fuel economy:

1. Fill tank and reset trip meter

2. Next time you fill note how much fuel you put in and also how far you have travelled.

3. Do the maths to work out Litres/100 Kilometers

If you work out that you get 10 Litres per 100 Kilometers then you could expect 650 Kms from a 65 L tank.

Note to self: Should do this soon as well

i get 480km/ full tank in my r33, no engine mods at all. This is with a bit of a thrash here and there. Fuel prices here are crazy at the moment, up to as high was 107c/litre for regular unleaded average around 103c/ltr, which means that it's difficult to find Ultimate98 anywhere for under $1.10/litre... not cool.

I am getting around 300 to 350ks from a tank in my stock r33. That is city driving with the occasional Booting. Sometimes as the lights and so on i can smell fuel fumes. I think its actually pretty terrible economy. I had a Non turbo silvia for 3 years and i would always get 450-500k's in city driving from a tank. Not half the car the skyline is though.

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
