we are both with Node, on ADSL 1.5Mb .... unfortunately we both live in Northgate, so our phone lines are on a RIM, hence we can't get ADSL2 or + ;):);) ;)

Well that just plain sucks..

Internode here.

1500/256 40Gb/month.

I DO need to do some cleaning out of things.

hehe yer that or nodes premium usenet pron service. :(

Cheers Howie.

lol, I expect to be using my PC a fair bit over the next 4 weeks during recovery; go BF2.

might try overclocking the unit (p4 3.4, gigabyte mobo, 2gig ram, 7800gtx, raid 400mb sata HD, 9 fans) to 4000, havent gone past 3700 (8%) as yet but its been real stable and heat hasnt been a real issue

:P

get a nice fan and u will easily see 4ghz stable

Nice Fan

I went for a Thermaltake Blue Orb 2 (about the same price) and it is quite unbelievable - it is absolutely silent, is on automatic speed (ie. the hotter the CPU gets the faster it will spin to try to cool it down), and the hightest speed I have seen it go is 1,200rpm (still silent) and the hottest I have seen the CPU is 45 degrees when hammering it. Currently it is 23 degrees ambient, 39 degrees CPU at 830rpm .... quite unbelievable for a dual core X2 4200 @ 2400Mhz (4600+ speed).

Lik-Sang were an import export company of videogames. And in the past year or two sony have been sueing them and they have finially had enough and probably can't afford to keep fighting these battles.

Go to www.lik-sang.com if you want some info.

In other news i got to play the Nintendo Wii tonight and it is so damn good it's unbelievable. It's so fun using the remote and the online functions are awesom and well thought out.

Everyone should be pre ordering one.

December 7 $399 and you get wii sports. Which has 5 sports games in it.

So good.

P.S buy my R34 so i can get a V35.

I saw the black V35 coupe that Synergy brought in for their compliance (that I posted some photos of a while back) driving on North east Rd the other day .... unfortunately it was going to other way so I only got a quick flash of it. *drool*

If I had known how soon V35 compliance was to be available when I bought the R34 last July, I would now have a V35 in my driveway instead of the 34 .... but I had committed to buy the R34 when I found out :) .... bloody fantastic cars (if not very lacking in power) - even Jeff from C-Red owns 2 of them and absolutely raves about them!

I couldn't work out why I couldn't beat Steve's score - all I could get is 35.5 seconds - but then it occurred to me that SuperPi only uses 1 of my 2 cpus (dual core you see) :P

A more appropriate Pi test is the multiple core version here: http://www.hwbot.org/download/multipi-0.2.zip

I got 1 min 23 sec @ 2.75Ghz - that is the highest I have overclocked it to so far .... I will get it to 3Ghz when I have some more time to play with it! (For some strange reason the multiple core beta starts time at 30 minutes rather than zero - but I assure you it is not true! lol).

Everyone post up their scores to compare!

to get super pi mod to utilize dual core u need to run 2 instances of it from to different named directories, then u can task manage the ifinity of CPU's to each program executable

i also dont understand the program u used i ran it any way

Running Stock

Running 4ghz

Super Pi 2 instances Stock

Super Pi 2 instances 4ghz

post-13315-1161858230.jpg

Steve I am pretty sure the program I gave the link to calculates Pi to 4M places, and utilises both cores to do it. When I calculate SuperPi to 4M it takes 2:42 with one of my cores, and that program takes 1:17 (now I have upped my clock to 2.925Ghz *and it is still stable* - that is equal to an as yet unreleased X2 5800+ )

oooh yeah I just benchmarked my CPU in Everest Ultimate Edition "CPU Queen" and topped the list - eat my dust overclocked Intel Core 2 Extreme 6800 @ 2.933Mhz - my beastie at 2390.5Mhz kicks your butt :P

And for those that play CS:S go do the stress test .... I got 146fps with my XFX7600GT @ 1,280 x 768 4xAA

    • Block bump. $400. As above cyl 6 needs bore or sleeve.
    • I would think making the argument that the travel is limited by a spring flexing against a spring perch as "the same method". Later on in the document they do state that the spring can't bind on full bump travel and cannot come loose in full rebound travel as well. (which is all very sensible). The laws are actually pretty sensible and reasonable. It's just that the people who enforce and check them don't actually read them or know them accurately. "Oh, coilovers? Instant fail mate. Don't even need to look at it." - Guy who will be instantly reported by me. There is probably merit to people who do get defected for height also get defected for the suspension in that state that allows it. I did never consider the people who are complaining about coilovers being picked on are also running around at 50mm off the floor.
    • I think given SAU's knowledge of E85 we can strongly conclude that 10% ethanol in almost any situation is entirely fine. Almost all of the myths against E85 were overblown, let alone E10.
    • From your link See bold text, is this referring to damper settings, if so that may a issue for "some" inspectors, I cannot see aftermarket coilovers having the evidence that "must be available that its functional performance is equivalent to the original" Maybe just remove the adjustment knows and hope for the best???? Meh 5.2 Suspension travel In all instances, modifications to a vehicle’s suspension must ensure the integrity of the system and not compromise the ride quality. At least two thirds of the original suspension travel should be maintained in both directions (rebound (i.e. extension) and bump (i.e. compression)), and rebound must be limited by the same method used by the vehicle manufacturer or if this is not practicable due to the nature of the modification, an equivalent method. If an alternative method is used, evidence must be available that its functional performance is equivalent to the original.
    • They actually don't - They adhere to VSB14 rules just like Victoria. The rules are against CABIN adjustable height, and it quite clearly states that the height has to be within parameters. I asked the VASS engineer to confirm this when I got my car engineered and they refused to engineer the coilovers because they didn't meet the requirements for requiring engineering. (mine are height adjustable.) People "Not wanting to bother" with "Actually reading/knowing/adhering to the rules" should result in fines and immediately losing the ability to issue blue slips and/or RWC's in Vic.
