well i just got a good offer on 2 8800GTS so im now SLI.

Im selling my 7950GX2 for 300 dollars to anyone thats interested, thats a firm price.

On another note, say I have a computer thats drawing 450watts, what would I need to put it in the car and have it run?

$300 is a real good price, for sure.

450 watts on a 12 volt system is 37.5 amps.

You'd need a power inverter, like this one:

600w_lge.jpg

LINK HERE

They say 90% max efficiency, so it would draw around 42 amps, and I'm not sure what skyline alternators are rated at.

Not a cheap proposition, but possible.

Probably not a great idea for long periods.

lol yeah.... cost of that?

Hey im running the 8800GTS's in SLI on an Antec 550w Trupower 2.0 PSU...

I think I need to upgrade my PSU as after maybe 40 mins or so of gaming I get a BSOD or on one occasion the power just went out.

Here are my specs:

Antec 900 gaming case 5 fans (1x 200mm exhaust fan, 1x 120mm exhaust fan, 3x 120mm fans)

Thermaltake Blue Orb CPU fan (My water works is in the works)

Core 2 Duo E6600 running at stock speed

Asus P5NSLI motherboard

4GB of DDR2-800 @ 1.8v (The Elixr shit)

Pioneer DVDRW combo drive

LG DVD drive (generic)

2x 250gb 7500rpm Seagate SATA2 drives.

---

2x MSI 8800GTS OC in SLI

---

Antec True Power 550w PSU (SLI Certified hehe for what). http://www.antec.com/us/productDetails.php?ProdID=23550

Now, I bought these 2 cards for cheaper than a Ultra and at the resolution I run games at on a WS this card is faster than a 8800 Ultra.

But Ultimately, what PSU would I need. I noticed tangles I think it was is selling his PSU, would that be suitable?

Edited by Pauly33GTS-t

my psu is great

650 up to 700w

plug-in braided lines, quality is right up there IMO

why Im going higher? - well, it has 2 only connectors for 6pin pcie

with my 2900xt's I need 4 connectors for 6pin pcie (and have bought 2x 6pin-8pin converters)

this 650w psu I have worked beautifully with 2x 7800GTX's MSI brand 256b each on full bore

:)

Well tangles, tell me this, would you be confortable powering quad sli 2 7950GX2 with that PSU?

cause the 8800GTS draws the same power if not just a touch more on my card compared the the 7950GX2 and the recomended is 700w for my setup.

I am bidding for an enermax galaxy 1000w on ebay, should be good enough...

lol

why no, no I wouldnt

:)

Id look for a 750w unit like a Thermaltake Toughpower, or even a SuperFlower Aurora 750w

hehehehe :bunny:

all good, got 10 watchers for it on ebay atm

(shamless plug for the winnnnnah)

fark i just read its been measured that my SLI setup draws 340-390watts at full load on 3d mark 06....

and i am using a 550w power supply atm, my graphics are chewing up resources, shit.

Maybe i can use sli in the meantime by powering off a HDD and the optical drives... 4 sticks of ram, a mother board and a 65w E6600 + 390w max f**k too much maths give me a beer.

anyone here MCSA certified ? or CCNA certified ?

i need to do get these certifications for work

Yeah I did CCNA at school for $400, the joys of my school paying for the bulk of it. What do you want to know?

Its a peice of piss and to be honest unless you are working with cisco equipment it really doesn't teach you that much.

well.. f**k me im lacking 300 or so watts... ill have them soon tho... weird thing is its working properly so maybe my PSU has a good source of power and wattage on the 12v rails. wierd.

EA Sports are some of the worst games going around.

If you want a decent soccer game play Winning 11 (Pro evo in australia) and for basketball play the 2K sports games, formally SEGA sports.

Much better than anything EA make.

    • So....to find any R chassis part number, get your VIN (will be something like ER33-xxxxxx for you) and go to: https://www.amayama.com/en/genuine-catalogs/nissan and enter it. From there you have access to a web version of Nissan's part system, FAST. It is a bit tricky to get used to, so maybe have a shot and post up what you think.  You can also search by general model but note in some cases your car might have different options so VIN is safest.  On diagram 211 I got 14075-75T16 for Connector, Water Hose If I search for part 14053‑21U10 that you posted, that is also a water hose but not the one bolted to the plenum and 14075‑04U00 is the fitting where the water hose goes into the block.
    • Yeah now we are talking I much prefer coolers in the front middle because it lessens the chance of a small bump to a corner stopping the whole event. I was thinking the AT cooler can move out of the radiator, delete the AT/engine coolant interwarmer and mount a separate cooler with a thermoswitch somewhere further back as is common in racing, that would be one thing. Beyond that, the engine oil cooler is an obvious one to move to the wheel arch, potentially one on each side, but unused space is an issue. I did have a earlier pic with the bumper off but it doesn't show how busy the corners are: DS is full of the auto driving sensors and PS is totally fully of windscreen washer fluid reservoir But ultimately I was hoping to keep the AC, and the water/air heat exchanger is fundamental so it is not just the radiator that needs to be in front BTW here's airflow to the rad as it ran at the track (one horn is gone now and I'll remove the lights next time):
    • your right the maps for Australia came out in 2017 but are 2010 maps. i got the updated maps SD card put it in and it was the same. Same maps in my Brothers Nissan Patrol. 2020 i think his car is
    • Yeahhhh, the costs have killed me. Spent more than the cost of an engine rebuild and it most mostly servicing and a tune lol.
