yeah there is a hell of a lot of reading its not as simple as download this tool run it and viola

that i have seen one that claimed it worked and i tried it on my nieces phone some $80 cheapy

but cant remember the tool, and i fear that would start getting to difficult and not easy to problem solve over the net

May be different for HTC; can you guys use CWM to recover + flash roms? The root/flash process on SGS2 is quite easy.

From what I've read there is an official ICS rom for the Sensation too.

If you flash the official HTC rom you could possibly get away without the hard reset and it'd be more like a straight upgrade.

Went down this path with the Galaxy; backed up with CWM, flashed Samsung official ICS rom with Odin software. All apps and data remained. Although all VodaAU bloatware gone, and phone runs very smooth. No dramas!

This all being said, the offical upgrade from the Aussie carriers couldn't be too far away.

Some cool new features and app interface/cosmetic upgrades. Love the panorama camera shooting mode!

IT is insane that they think they can stop torrenting.

But the big issue is why are movies on ITunes $24,99, when you can go out and buy brand new, new release movies from places like BigW for under $20, Surely if they don't have to produce, package, ship, wholesale then retail an actual DVD, then the actual cost of the movie should come down significantly. If these stupid movie studios charged $5 to download a DVD quality movie, then many, many people less would pirate them.

    • This. The R34 handbrake icon DOES come up when the brake fluid level is low. You might be sitting right on that threshhold. I have been down this diagnosis path and this was the solution (and it was pretty much as full as your picture is to begin with).
    • Unfortunately the cavaet to that is that while any scan tool should be able to read the code, the workshop will need a consult plug to OBD socket adapter. You don't have a location on your profile, where are you based?
    • @Haggerty this is your red flag. In MAP based ECU's the Manifold pressure X RPM calculation is how the engine knows it is actually...running/going through ANY load. You are confusing the term 'base map' with your base VE/Fuel table. When most people say 'base map' they mean the stock entire tune shipped with the ECU, hopefully aimed at a specific car/setup to use as a base for beginning to tune your specific car. Haltech has a lot of documentation (or at least they used to, I expect it to be better now). Read it voraciously.
    • I saw you mention this earlier and it raised a red flag, but I couldn't believe it was real. Yes, the vacuum signal should vary. It is the one and only load signal from the engine to the ECU, and it MUST vary. It is either not connected or is badly f**ked up in some way.
    • @Haggerty you still haven't answered my question.  Many things you are saying do not make sense for someone who can tune, yet I would not expect someone who cannot tune to be playing with the things in the ECU that you are.  This process would be a lot quicker to figure out if we can remove user error from the equation.
