R31 GTS Struts

Well I know I've asked this before .....but I've never really got an answer, just hoping there is someone new here who can help, here goes....

I need to find out if the front struts in aussie delivered R31 GTS are the same as the Japanese R31 GTS????

I've called Nissan, importers, wreckers etc but never been able to get an answer....... there must be an R31 expert lurking out there somewhere. I'm trying to find out because I need a set of Aussie R31 GTS Struts and can't find any but I know I could probably bring in some from Japan if they're the same!!

In one simple word, YES! The Aussie GTS2 had the Japanese Front strut and brakes, but the back brakes were the standard Aussie skyline.

MIKGTR as R31Heaven said HR31 GTS-t, GTS-x struts and brakes interchange with aussie GTS. SVD claimed to source them from Nismo. They had bilstein internals. Most jap R31 struts I've seen have electric ride-control internals.

R31 Skyline Chick : I'm going to bring in a set (hopefully) and make sure for myself that they do interchange and if all is good I'll get afew more sets depending on availability coz i've got a few mates chasing them as well , if it works out I'll let you guys know.

Um, well we know that they interchange, we have an R31 Ti in the driveway with a set.

I also had a picture of three different rotors sitting side by side, but I can't access it while the R31 website is down.

Stock (tiny!) the GTS/import rotor (medium) and a GTR rotor re-drilled to suit 4 stud.

Cool, thats what I wanted to hear....coz until someone actually says they have done it themselves or has a car with them fitted you can never be that sure. I'm chasing them up at the moment...i'm onto one yard in japan that has meant to have a bit of GTS-X stuff so I'll see how I go. Its a bit hard getting an answer out of them sometimes........Q: are they standard struts or GTS struts A: yes....thats what I'm dealing with at the minute!! but there have to be some around somewhere!!

but the standard aus r31 to gts)jap r slightly diffrent but can be interchanged

It's the 'slight difference' that permits the fitting of bigger rotors/calipers, .... hence the amount of people interested in the struts.

make sure you get turbo jap struts as teh na ones are 90 like a oz spec 31

does anyone know if the R32 gts-t struts will go in a R31?

If they did, then people would be doing it, so I'm assuming that they don't fit.

32 struts are completely different design

i cant find any struts so im probably getting mine custom mounted, something to think about if you are having trouble like me.

Yeah Slip I'm starting to think the same, the only reason I was originally going to use R31 GTS stuff is because I thought it would be an easy bolt in but as I've now realised it aint so easy when you can't find a set in oz. Think I'll just get some big DBA disks and make up the dog bones for the calipers. Only prob is I haven't found any decent inserts for the R31 struts either.

What about s13 or s14 struts ?? does anyone know if they are close to R31??

mmmm GTR brakes on a R31. R31skylinechick what else had to be done besides GTR calipers and rotors? Aussie skyline brakes are a disgrace and I'd love to have something decent on my silohouette!

the spacers.... i assume to space teh caliper off the strut to match the offset off the new rotor?
