well my theory is i was makin 270rwhp before at 1bar but that turbos efficiency range would be 18-22psi. so while making decent power it wasnt working at the optimum rate

with a smaller exhaust housing the new turbos efficiency rating should be around 14-16psi (where i will run it) and so will work better and hopefully rpoduce similar power figures to what i had before

UPDATE: Last night with the help of macka and shannon the turbo came off. macka took some pictures if he could post em thatd be good...

anyway it turns out the exhaust housing was in fact a .63 already but with a big mofo wheel. this setup was spooling at 4500rpm with power over 5000rpm...

i am going to try either a similar sized but different trim wheel, or get a new .63 housing which hasnt been machined as much and put a smaller wheel inside it. the turbo goes into United today so will let you know how it all goes and what option we choose

Im glad u mentioned us that time Adam!

It looks like we will put a smaller ex wheel on with a shallower trim on a new .63 housing.

He has a GT25 compressor and GT40 Exhaust wheel :)

Yeah i agree you should make similar power at 1bar with a shallower trim wheel in it.

The comp wheel needs to go up :P

Ok ill resize some photos tonight and post just cause its you Ketz

me n mack have pretty much figured out what size wheel we want to put in the new .63 housing... but were gunah chat to steve and see if hes got any thoughts, hes the expert after all

mack i remeasured the comp wheel (more accurate) someone from engineering did it with these vernier extensions so it could go into the inlet pipe

its 58mm and the exhaust is roughly the same
