Hi guys,

I contacted a headlight manufacture which can make new headlights assembly for us, just wondering how many people would like to have a new one and how much they would pay for a brand new ,clear one.

also can make it chrome inside for s1 owners, and projectors won't be a problem too

Yeah sounds good, always want to get the clear head lights on mine. Only trouble is I have the 4 door assembly and just bought a H4 HID kit, so it wont go in a clear light assembly!! DOOH!!

Haven't put the kit in yet, anyone want to buy an unused H4 HID kit?? :P

But even the 2nd hand ones can be sold for 400 pair as i've sold mine for 300 or 350 a pair?

if the same quality i mean ..

can't compare with the accord or somthing ..i got mine audi one for less then 300 a pair brand new. but no one is making r33's ...

really want to see if it's worth to do it . coz making a model is not cheap..

yeah thats cool, understand its abit $$$.

(i bought some 4dr s1 r33 headlights chrome inside, for around $200 but that was from japan)

I think you will get heaps of orders if you do a S3 GTR copy, i get some photo of the headlights for you

Yes .i can do anyone only if i have sample . not only photo..

i just borrowed a normall r33 one .. but don't think i can get gtr one any where

S3 gtr would be hard to get, and they you would have to change the shape to suit a gtst (as the headlight is wider on the gtr to suit the guards)

They cost around $1,000 too.... thats abit of money to put up front without knowing you will get it back

i went to just jap and paied 100 deposit borrowed a headlight.

and i can make it gtst housing and gtr inside? or easier s2 looking?

if you can make it gtr inside (s3 style above) in gtst housing, i would be down for it 100%, even s2 look in a s1 housing would be good too :P

hehe , i know when people think about chinese stuff will link to cheap and crapy, i admit many chinese stuff are, but just because the quality control and the cost of making them. U pay for wat u get , if u would pay the same price as the japanese stuff . wat i can say is chinese can make even better ones with that price. but normally chinese stuff are much cheaper than others. so they have to control the cost too.

what i'm doing is go to the factory which is making car plastic parts for nissan honda or something..

u know . china has space ship. the third one in the world. i think the quality won't be too bad though...

I would definitely be down for s1 r33 light (s3 gtr style). As for feasibility, just take one look at the " r33 dirty/cloudy headlight ... " threads on this and many other forums and you will see it would be a massive hit. I have a r33 series 1, its repainted, has a bodykit, the rear on a r33 looks good, the front cloudy lights let it down making it look like an old car, the s3 projector style would make it look much more sophisticated.

PLEASE MAKE THIS HAPPEN!

    • You know how your car rolled through a fence in your last jacking escapade? Scissor jacks increase the likely hood of that sort of thing happening immensely!

    • Just trying to get my head around this. At 5psi of boost, you turn on your wmi pump, and then you're using a 3000cc injector, to allow flow upto the actual engine, where you have your 6x200cc injectors and a 500cc injector. If the above is correct, what advantage are you obtaining by having the 3000cc injector blocking flow, is this just incase a line breaks between that injector and the motor you can stop flow immediately? Or are the 6x200cc and 500cc less injectors and just spray nozzle?
    • Welcome! New member myself, but I had an R33 back in 2002. Best advice I could give, based on my experience: if you're running the factory turbo, be very conservative with boost. I made the mistake of just fiddling around with the boost controller and cranking the boost for fun, and the end result was my intake pipes popping off frequently from the constant deluge of oil that was being blown into the recirc by the stressed-out turbo, which itself was siphoning oil from the engine and farting it out both sides of its centre bearing (or something to that effect). If I could do it all again, I would have gotten a new turbo and had a tune dialled in professionally and then just left it alone! Funny you mention the metal shavings in the gearbox, as I had the same thing - the probe plug (magnetic drain plug, essentially) would come out caked with shavings. At least it was doing its job. Not sure if that's just sacrificial wear and part of the deal, or if my gearbox was shagged, but I wasn't abusing it. Enjoy the R33 - they're a dying breed, and if they weren't $35k+ on CarSales in Queensland, I might have picked up one of those again, instead of the 370GT I own now (though I'm loving the 370GT, that big 3.7L V6 just hits different).
    • Howdy folks. I owned an R33 back in 2002, which was thoroughly beyond my capacity (financially speaking) to maintain/insure, so we parted ways in 2004. Fast forward 21 years (to literally yesterday, in fact) and I'm now the proud owner of a 2007 V36 370GT. I'm happily surprised by how much power the VQ37VHR makes, compared to the RB25DET, considering the latter is turbocharged. I had planned to add a turbo at some point but I'm on the fence about whether I'll even need it (though I do love the sudden onset of extra torque). Any other 370GT owners around the traps, I'd love to hear about your experiences with this car (good and bad).
