Stained paint

Hi guys,

I parked my car in an underground carpark and came back to find that water had been dripping from the ceiling onto my car.

I've cleaned my car thoroughly with regular soap, but it's left very slight stains in the paint and the sunroof (glass).

Any tips for removing it without wrecking the paint? It's kind of like an old coffee stain on a glass table.

*edit: I read a couple of forums and they suggested white vinegar and water, but I don't want to screw my paint job

the water should neutralise the vinegar..... but i dunno how it would ruin the paint... go to a paint place and c what they recommend

cut and polish should fix it nicely

Um clay bar would be your best bet, get it from any place that sells good quality polishes and the like. Even if it dosn't work, you car will be cleaner than it ever has been before.

any soft polish will work, easy... i've used this meguiars one, works good.

Is clay bar what I know as rouge - the stuff you use on buffing wheels for acrylics etc ? looks like a big reddish chocolate bar ?

clay bar got some overspray off my car. followed by a polish, result.....smik!
