dont forget to take into account

-torque

-gear ratios

-driver skill

It's not just power that makes all the difference. I dont know the specs on supra's but I know toyota makes some good powerful motors. Common sense though tells me an R33 gtst will rip an NA supra (if both drivers of equal skill).

EDIT: NA supra's would be doing 14's down the 1/4. stock.

I am quite a heavy guy so i must weigh my car down even more, but i can not see myself doing quarter in 14s. I haven't raced a stock r33 yet, but i don't mind trying. Even as owner, i doubt i can really do that well against it. Don't get me wrong, its not slow.. but i think compared to most of the cars i go out with, the power output is too little. Fortunately its still be best looking car in all the DRD's. :) :shake:

As a comparison tho, i have heard it beat stock 180sx and r32 with exhaust and air pod. I beat a charade too!!! ( i dunno why he tried to race me) hmm... i dun have many other kill stories ..hhehe

just my 2 zloti.

can't argue with that one ... most girls don't even know what a turbo is ... i dont' even think a gtr can compare to a supra in a girls mind ... beats us in that department :D

I saw a NA supra (new shape) running the quarter up her in NT. He was so ashamed he actually pulled the number plates of his car before he ran 16.2s over the quarter, either he was useless or the NA supra is all show and no go. I heard that later on in the evening some mates pulled up next to him in a 100 series turbo diesel land cruiser wanting to race him at a set of lights but he didnt want to :P

If Im not mistaken, NA supras run the 100 in high 6's and the quarter in about 15sec. Meaning the're around about on par with stock r32 gts-t's and a bit quicker than stock NA r33's (0-100 in low 7's/ mid 15's quarter mile).

I saw the stats in one of the import performance mags a little while back, comparing NA supras with r33 GTS's.

HPI tested NA supra with NA R33 Skyline and Supra came out on top. Probably cause the supra has 500cc more capacity.

Comparing NA Supra to R33 GTS25t ain't exactly a fair match up. Supra's got more displacement, but a turbo will more than make up for the missing 500cc's in the R33.

On top of that modifying scope in the Supra is a little narrow.

    • UPDATE: Yes the GSP Axles are compatible. I installed it on my R34 today and they are working a treat! Turns out that the S13, S14, S15, and 200 SX all used the same axles as the HR34, and ER34 NA models. Which is 2 bolt x 3 pairs.
    • Also build this EH ute with 370z motor and gearbox with a couple of turbos just for fun.
    • Got the passenger door on plus the master cylinder and booster. Loaded up to take it home. At home, the colour changes a lot in the light.
    • Nothing cheap, but I have seen the AC Hydraulic DK13HLQ which is pretty close to what you're asking for. The problem is the hydraulic cylinder mandates that the back of the jack be a certain height and Skylines have fairly deep inset floor jack points. A more certain and cheap option is to get some nominal 2x10 inch lumber boards and have one board be 1.5 feet, the other board 3 feet. Glue it all together with lots of clamps to maintain pressure. Make two of these. The ramp suggested above is a good idea, it takes quite a bit of clutch slip to get over each of the boards. I only need the first ~1.5 inches for my low profile jack on a standard ride height car but a lowered car you want to go up to the full ~3-3.5 inches. Paint it or store indoors if you want it to last.
    • Ok. And Nistune? I read (here too) mainly on Stagea threads that it can by "turn off" with Nistune. But they say they still had the sensor plug in. Next week iam going to the Nistune(and other ECUs) tuner so i can finally make it work. I drove the car home and apart from the cut it drove great. No misfire no smoke no hesitation or rough start...so hoping it is this sensor that is missing
