Yep - I have the AA403s on my R32 (with the .48 housing)

definitely N1's (I asked Nissan b4 I bought them)

definitely have steel wheels

definitely have ball bearing (keep rolling for a full 60 secs after I turn the car off )

come on boost @ about 3.5K rpm (I see 11psi by that stage)

I have split HKS style dumps feeding into full (cat-less) 3" system, and I see ~300awkw @ 1.2bar without poncams

They still have PLENTY of potential to go, I've herd of some guys pushing these to 22psi – but that may be the .60 housings

I still have the std 440cc injectors – which is limiting my output

HtH

i run 1.4bar through mine. but it still feels like it needs about 2 i am going to try some c16 and see how far i can go

I'm running Mines stainless dump pipes, then spilt titanium front pipes that come into 3.5", then a japanese racing cat, and 3.5" stainless custom welded cat-back by a japanese performance garage straight all the way. I'm just doing 1bar fer daily driving. Any idea how much psi of boost the 34 GTR n1 turbos can take safely?

I've also got Tomei 260 poncams IN & EX with i think 9.15mm lift, Tomei camgears n etc, with denso 550cc injectors & Greddy fuel rail, sard fuel regulator, bosch 044 fuel pump running my fueling. Car was tuned before in japan, now i'm linking up with BD4s fer a possible tune up next time as yeah like u said, finding a good Fcon tuner in Brissy is almost impossible.

i not too sure on your actual setup on how much you could run without leaning out on the fuel...

i guess leave that up to bd4's or whoever is going to tune it.

i beleive croydon and sas here in sydney can both tune the fcon also.. so there isnt just bd4's

the exhaust sounds nice haha. tho you were saying a bit quiter would be good. possibly ask someone around here for a high flow muffler and see what that can do..

a bit off topic, but what ecu are you running andrew?

Who tuned yer fcon vpro? So are u running a map sensor too like mine or still on AFMs? By the way is yer stock ecu still in the car now or the fcon is running standalone?

If u r running N1 gtr34 turbos as well, how much power are u making at wotever psi? Just hoping fer a comparison...cheers!

well its still tuned from japan. its running a fair bit rich as they all do. i dont know who i am going to take it to for a tune. was working out if i could actually get my hands on the software for tuning it.

and i am yet to go on the dyno. and yet to work out if i actually have 34 n1's

but similar setups to mine have seen upwards and further on 350kw at all 4's.

i am not too sure what boost it has been tuned on, or the condition of my bottom end, and if i have aftermarket rods or rod bolts.. so i am just running max of 1.4 bar now.

its getting a new gearbox thrown in, and what a drama that has been.

discontinued item from nismo. and hard time getting a clutch to match the spline so its taking a while before i get it back

have you considered a swap to a PFC ?

what's you air temp look like - 1.4 bar (21psi) is on the limit for these turbos AFAIK

Well im getting about 300kw @ 4 wheels with 1.2 bar of boost on mine, it was tuned in japan as well and my AFR is abt 11.5-11.8, which is in BD4s's view, ideal as the japanese always run richer, however i think it was tuned on higher octane petrol.

i will forward what sydney kid has said to me about my motor turbos etc..

    • There's restrictor pills in the stock boost control hoses. That's how they set the amount that was bled off and hence the "high" boost setting. The usual mod in the day was to remove it and send the "high" boost setting up to about 14 psi.
    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
    • Manual boost controllers (where a little of the boost was bled off) were quite common back in the day, because they were cheap and easy. Generally they had a manual adjustment screw rather than being fixed like yours. Down side is they always bleed boost, not just when you want them to so an electronic boost controller that uses a solenoid will have less lag.
    • Hello , im new here and i have A31 home build  RB25det neo stock eng / turbo  aem ems 2 blue connector  aem 3.5 map aem cas disk aem wideband connected to ecu  355 lph pump 550 nismo yellow injectors side feed aftermarket regulator  and won’t start with base aem tuner basic tune eventually flipped cas 180 degree so it triggers on correct stroke not in exhaust cycle  Now it won’t start Wideband reads 10 and 11 at lowest fuel setting  and will share calibrations soon for aem tuner i think something is wrong in aem tuner    please if you have any information, am very grateful
