Best place for a service, Gold Coast

Hi guys

My car is up for a service soon, and since I think I need a proper tune up (ie. maybe can get more power) and the car has a couple of niggling probs, I will take it to a mechanic.

Where in the Gold Coast (pref. Bundall, Ashmore area) is the best place to get a decent service, tune and check - where they will listen to you and actually check out the probs? I have taken my car for a couple of services now to one place and they never listen to what I ask them to check - ie. the noises are still there, still idles rough, gear slips, belts squeal at high revs etc etc.

Any help would be appreciated!

cheers,

Brett

id like to suggest 'Gavin Wood Auto Tech' (nissan specialist)

they do SKYLINE's daily and when you go past you can usualy see a GTR or some other form of imported NISSAN... they are a friendly helpful bunch and have serviced my car... i think a few people on these forums get serviced there?

decent prices too :(

1/23 Gibbs street, Labrador 4215 (kinda close to sub zero)

PH: 5529 2313

hope i helped... bye :burnout:

I can 2nd Gavin Woods. I think his labour is a bit more expensive, but hes so damn quick that you end up saving money.

I had a new engine put in my car by him. Took him 1 day. Hasnt missed a beat in the last 15,000kms and mechanic in melbourne said who ever tuned it last time did a great job.

Nizman, sky|ine and NismoGirl all use him I think.

About Gavin - does he specialise in all Nissans or only the new stuff or only the imported stuff?

Thanks

Uhm.. :Paranoid: The diff broke :innocent:

HOPEFULLY after this it won't demand any more attention!

It's costing me quite a bit to get it fixed cause its a rare car/diff.

I can't just walk into any wreckers and say "gimme a diff"

I've found that 'maggit' on ferry road are good for mags, but a few sets from him over the last few years. I know he does repairs, and i'm pretty sure he does alloy rims. Prices dont seem to be too bad either.
