Fallen victim to the cripling Nissan Stageas out there.

Flat bed truck reversed into my car this morning in the street, for a building works across the street.

.......happy but sad, at least I am going to get that DAYZ front bar now hopefully through the insurance company(need a new front bar anyways). Wont be able to get the parts anywhere by from Nissan either......

The damage is front bar support (which was custom done by revzone for my cooler), front 1/4 panel, front bar, front bar lip, front idicator (possibly salvagable), front driver headlight and front driver parker

That really sucks! Sorry to hear it Alex, I really hate it when something happens to your car and you had nothing to do with it. If they can't drive without hitting stationary objects then I don't think they should be driving at all!

As far as insurance is concerend, it is a Dayz bar the has been damaged right?

Alex,

Shizen Houzen.

Want the number of my Panel Beaters?

Tops Blokes.

Nunawading Panels

9873 5855

Tell you I sent you.

PS. Who's the insurance company for the person who hit you.

NEVER LET THEM TAKE YOUR CAR FROM YOU.

They will fix it in the cheapest possible manner and tell you its good enough.

Speak to Tony. He'll help you out with whatever you need.

that sucks mate, but at least you got all of his details

Alex, if you want a driver side qtr panel, a guy here in Kinglake West has got one, its silver

but is clean as

give him a call, might still have it 03-5786-5566 or 0418 123 637

a good guy and knows his skylines-

I am not after any parts thanks guys, just letting you all know about it is all.

The insurance company will cover all the costs, ive never thought this about any other car, but i shit everyone not but I can see this ending up to cost 7-10k after labour, parts etc...

Alex,

which insurance company is he with?

I repeat. DO NOT GIVE YOUR CAR TO THE INSURERS.

Get the quotes yourself, give them to the insurance company and make sure they go to your chosen repairer to asses to damage.

Don't go to their assesment places, as they often just take photos of the damage and ask panel beaters to quote on the e-mail, and then give the job to the cheapest, regardless of the work involved.

BASS OUT

    • Yea - I mean I've seen my fuel pump which is decades old and uh, while I'm not saying this with real knowledge... but I sure get the ick at using anything in the fuel system that produced the state of that pump. Many years ago I went through multiple pumps (and strainers) before I dropped the tank to clean it out with extreme violence. I'm talking the car would do maybe 50km before coming to a halt, which resulted in me cleaning out the filter with some brake cleaner and going on my way. None of my stuff ever looked like what came out of your fuel tank. I don't think I'd be happy with it unless every single component was replaced (or at least checked/cleaned/confirmed to be clean here).
    • I'm not going to recommend an EBC pad. I don't like them. Just about anything else would suit me better. I've been using Intima pads for a while now.
    • Agreed, and in particular the earth strap that should go from the subframe to the chassis but it often broken or left off. There is a section in the R32 workshop manual you can follow for troubleshooting if you don't see anything suspicious, and depending where you are (there is no location on your user profile) you should be able to get your hands on a second hand replacement unit still if needed
    • Yeah they mention as a R34 for 2.5 Turbo...but then again thos "small" were also for R34 by that different site. But i look into it and that 310mm EBC is for R34 GTT. And by those you linked the specs are the same 🙂    EDIT: I found these on one site here: DBA 4000 series T3 DBA42304S They are 310mm...and it says are for R34GTT...are there good? EDIT2: ok they have pads too.  What "color" should i get for street use? I dont want/need some noisy ones...(and if they are not that dusty that is good too)
    • Yeah, shame. Maybe  driver's carpet is available 🙏. I am waiting for both amayama and nangun to confirm.
