I Never Have Problems With Cops (regarding My Car)?

Recommended Posts

How does one lose their license due to loss of demerit points, if they don't speed or drive dangerously?

By not having p-plates up, which really fell off the rear windscreen - loss of 3 demerit points

Jumping a red light, as the cop put it. Which in my opinion, was orange and I couldnt have jumped on the brakes because there was a car behind me. Im not arguing or complaining tho, just bad luck i guess. - another 3 gone

I also lost 3 points for driving without my vic license on me. I was driving with my Malaysian license which had just became a full license. I thought i could use it and then drive my car not as a p plater and thus not have the power restrictions on me. It turns out since I have a vic license, no other license is valid in vic. Which is all good, ive learnt my mistake, just not enough research on my part.

Thats how :sorcerer:

So what happened with the Policeman, did he just leave a card to say "I have seen you, beware" or was it official Police business? If he was persistant, it would sound like there is more to come where you might have to prove you weren't in the country.

I don't think it was official Police business, I just think that he wanted to warn me or maybe get me to admit that I was driving during my suspension. He was just doing his job i guess and didnt want me to be breaking the law. I havent heard from him since and my gf did give him my Malaysian number as he requested but he never called me. I also tried calling him back from Malaysia but he wasnt on duty. I also left a msg asking him to get back to me when he was free.

Since he didnt call me back I didnt chase it up and it also slipped my mind as I was in Malaysia for 3 months. I just remembered about this when I saw this thread rebirthed at the top of the Vic section haha. If however he does get back to me I have my passport all ready to show that I was in fact in Malaysia so no worries :)
