Castaway was good..I like Tom Hanks, good in da vinci code as well.....good actor.

However the girl taking the role of Sophie can't act...she's hot but can't act....

teabing reminds me of Magneto

at the begining of the show, they tried to stick as much as possible to the book. However I feel that midway through the movie they realised that they ran out of time....the story book meant to have five parties involved...Opus Dei, Vatican, Robert Langdon, Sir teabing and priory of Sion...

however the movie over simplify the enemies merging Opus Dei and Vatican...taking them as 'shadows of the vatican'

furthermore, in the story book, the character robert langdon was developed in prequel Angels and Demons..the movies does not explain much of Langdon's origin...why sonier would have chosen him out of so many ppl....

prolly 2 out of 5 star? felt as though I would fall asleep in the movies...wondering how long the movies has got to go on....esp after teabing died

Teabing DIED!!??

Maybe you should watch it again, then reread the book

I enjoyed it for what it was after enjoying the book and believe anything is possible given factual distorsion over time.

Hell in a hundred years time the GTR RB26DETT will be revered as the 20th centuries greatest automobile.

Yeah riiiiiight. I love it, but dont wear blinkers.

I also believe religion of no fixed denomination is mankinds greatest scourge and the best excuse to commit attrocities under any Dieteis name for the last 3 thousand years.

I went to see this yesterday just to see what all the hoo-ha was about.

The experience as a whole was entirely crappy.

The audio was so soft that you had to really concentrate on what was being said, and most of the time I couldn't distinguish what was being said if I couldn't see the persons lips moving during the dialogue.

The only bits that I was sure I actually "got" were the bits that were subtitled.

(..and no, there's nothing wrong with my hearing)

There was also an old couple across the aisle who had to keep trying to explain the plot to each other, and their banter totally drowned out the minimal audio, however, a quick "shut the f**k up!" put an end to this.

There were people smoking in the cinema, I don't understand why anyone would go to a cinema if they can't go 15 minutes without a smoke... seriously, if you have to smoke, leave the cinema, or wait for it to come out on DVD!

..and don't even let me get started on the people who can't go 3 minutes without playing with their mobile phones. wankers.

Around 20 people (out of about 50) got up and left within the first hour and didn't return.

Totally crappy.

Wait for it to come out on DVD.

Smoking was banned in Vic cinemas ages ago??

Actually thinking about it, I probably would not have thought much of the movie either, had I not already read the book and enjoyed it so much.

I think Ron Howard had his work cut out to relay the same experience as reading the book did.

If you have not read the book I suggest you do so having seen the movie and the oportunity to recall the actual visuals while reading will make it outstanding.

I think the movie attendance will be trading on the enjoyment most people got from reading a book that is damn hard to put down once you start.

    • just an update to this, poor man pays twice  Tried sanding down the pulleys but it didnt do the trick. Chucked another second hand alternator in the na car which I got for free off my mate and its fixed the squelling. Must have been unlucky with the bearings.    As for my turbo car, I managed to pick up a cwc rb alternator conversion bracket + LS alternator for 250 off marketplace, looked to be in really good nick. Installed it , started the car and its not charging the battery.... ( Im not good with auto elec stuff so im not sure if this was all I needed to do but I verified such by using a multimeter on the battery when the engine was running and I was only getting 12.2v )   I had to modify the earth strap for the new LS alternator , factory earth strap was a 10mm bolt which did not fit the bolt on the LS alternator which was double the size so I cut it off , went to repco bought some ring terminals that fit, crimped it onto the old earth strap and bolted it up to the alternator , started the car and same issue. Ran like shit and was reading 12.2 at the battery.  For a "plug and play" advertised kit thats not very plug and play but alas.  My question is , am I missing something ? Ive been reading that some people recommend upgrading the stock 80 amp alternator fuse to a 140 amp but I dont see how that would stop the alternator charging especially at idle not under load.  Regardless ive pulled it out and am going to get it bench tested by an auto elec tomorrow but it would be handy to know if ive missed something silly or have done something wrong.
    • My wild guess is that you have popped off an intake pipe....check all of the hoses between the turbo and the throttle for splits or loose clamps.
    • Awesome, thanks for sharing!
    • To provide more specific help, more information is needed. What Android screen? What is its wiring diagram? Does the car's wiring have power at any required BAT and ACC wires, and is the loom's earth good?
    • So, now all you need to do is connect the 2 or 3x 12v feeds into the unit to permanent 12v, ACC 12V and IGN 12V that you can find in the spot behind the stereo, and the earth, and then it will switch on with the car.
